I have been here several times and have had ok experiences, so we went in knowing we would get ok food and ok service - we were after a quick bite before visiting family had to travel home. Our first waitress was very friendly and accommodating and even allowed us to order from the breakfast menu, even though we'd missed the cut-off by 5 minutes. Our drinks and mains were served promptly and the food was ok. Once we had finished our mains, we were left a long time sitting with empty plates in front of us. It seemed we had been exiled to the non-busy part of the restaurant because we had a toddler, and then abandoned. We wanted to grab coffees before leaving, so we waited about 15 minutes, after which time my mother went to the coffee counter to order coffees. She was told that someone would come and take our order. Approximately 5 minutes later, one of the friendly waitresses took our coffee order. 15 minutes later, we really had to leave, so i approached the girl making coffee and asked if our coffees could please be changed to take away orders as we had to leave. She threw her hands in the air, looked disgusted and angrily said "well now i have to start again". I said if it was trouble then not to bother, we wouldn't have the coffees. I got a snippy "No, it's fine" in return but i said i didn't want them any more. I'm not sure what is so difficult about pouring a coffee from a glass into a cup, but evidently it was beyond her skills. We left without coffees and won't be returning.

I visited for lunch with my mum, and baby in a pram. Initially the welcome was pleasant and we were asked to wait at the bar while a table was made ready for us. I thought this was a little odd as the place was nearly empty but it didn't bother us.

We were given menus when seated but had to wait a long time before getting the attention of one of the waitresses to order drinks (and food as well).

The meals didn't take too long to arrive but we had almost finished our meals before our drinks were served and we had to remind the waitresses twice.

Overall the food was ok and a lot of it.

The big let-down and deterrent against going there again was the lack of service. It was very difficult to get the waitresses' attention at any time throughout our visit and they forgot our drinks. I noticed the people at a nearby table had a similar experience and were served the wrong drink order.

I found this very surprising in a near-empty restaurant at lunch time.

Bright and fun atmosphere, with wild colours and a sense of fun from patrons and waiters. Very realxed environment, with booths, kid friendly. Menu choice widespread, great chicken parma - massive servings, but not at the expense of quality. Licensed restaurant which includes some fantastic cocktails and large range of beers...old school type of setting.

Approximate cost: $20-25
