Always friendly, always welcoming...food is lovely, coffee great.... but you know...even if it wasn't I'd keep on going back just for the kindness and respectfulness of the staff. Heike and Alex have created a trully unique place...to say it feels "just like family" would be incorrect...for many locals it's SO much better than family, or home. Many of us are either living alone, or living in difficult circumstances, and to be able to go out, be among people and feel "normal" for a time is just so special. We even don't mind sharing it all with The Tourists! A great place to meet up with other 'regulars' and just watch the Mountain go by!!!

Approximate cost: $15.00

Love this cafe, it has so much ambience and the staff are great, the food is always fresh and they do catering. It always feels warm and cosy, and we enjoy having a coffee and snack there often.

warm and welcoming any time of day. The locals cafe. Large seasonally changing selection of consistently good food and terrific coffee.

Tamborine's Best Cafe! The lunch ala carte menu is delicious and has a range of prices available, but the breakfast is the definite winner. When we had people staying with us a quick stop to spice for takeaway dinner was delicious and so easy. Two thumbs up!

I frequent this terrific cafe almost daily. Breakfast is my favourite of the menus. When I go there I notice how many locals are doing exactly what I am... catching up with friends, having meetings, drinking delicious coffee and treating ourselves to a delicious plate of some sort. My friend had wedding catering done I was a little sceptical as it was a cafe that I knew and loved for being the best cafe it could but the fingerfood at her wedding was amazing. I love when my expectations are blown. I could live off those prawn twisties.

Approximate cost: $15

Sounds great, and they apparently have a gluten free menu which is important, will be going there with friends soon.

Spice Of Life is in one word brilliant! The owners Alex & Heike are the most open and friendly people and really put alot of effort into making their cafe a welcoming place to come and chill and have some reeeally tastey food/drinks (the milkshakes are the best!!)
The service is great, from lovely young people who don't make you feel rushed to leave, they look genuinely happy to be there and are always smiling which helps create the relaxed happy atmosphere.
I would definately recommend popping into this cafe if you're in Tamborine Mountain for an extremely filling and delicious breakfast/lunch/dinner or even if it's just for a hot or cold drink (there are so many to choose from!)
