Very disappointing! Seems like if you don't have the big bucks you are treated very unfairly!!! Why didn't they specify they weren't interested in a small 50 people gathering in the first place.
We were set to proceed for our 'Gourmet finger food package' for my 60th birthday on the 5th June. My husband simply rang to confirm the booking & unfortunately struck a very rude man (not Mark) who made us feel like they simply did not want our business . In fact telling us to go else where. Informing us we had only booked for 45 people which was totally incorrect as we informed them (via email) & on their form) we were to proceed with the 50 people. This guy kept persevering about this matter. My husband just asked , 'Are we booked in or not for 50 people on the night?'
He finally said yes which is all we wanted to know in the first place!!!!!!
I then receive an email from Mark who told us they are to cancel the catering for my 60th birthday ........3 weeks out!!!!!
Very disappointing & don't know why???? A simple phone call to clarify things would have been appreciated . Left in the lurch to find a new caterer & I'm on the verge of cancelling my birthday I'm so upset!
Also tried to ring Mark several times today but to no avail ..... until I used my daughters phone & funnily enough I got through straight away??? Friendly warning ....be aware of this company!

Absolutely fantastic food and service. We have used them on many occasions for Graduation and for staff functions and they are amazing. They take care of everything from setting up to the dishes. I would highly recommend their service and we will certainly continue to use them on a regular basis. They have catered for all types of food requirements without a hitch.

Spitting Image catered for our twin boys 21st. Chef and 2 staff did a great job with the food and left the kitchen very clean. They went about their work very professionally and guests commented on the great food and service.We would definitely use them again.

Spitting Image catered for my 50th birthday recently. They were reliable, professional, organised and service was outstanding. I barely even knew they were there aside from the delicious treats to eat. My guests raved about the food. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Spitting Image catering has catered for several of our Marcellin Rugby functions over the last few years. The food has been very tasty and always plentiful with a huge range of options to choose from. They do all the hard work of setting up, serving and cleanup. Highly recommend them for your next function.

Party size 150 people. Plenty of food, over catered for us. Meat was superbly delicious. Friendly and easy to deal with.

Loved these guys! Ordered a whole spit roast for a big family gathering and it was the best fun - they bring the whole shebang and then carve it up while the roast is still roasting hot. it was delicious and a great hit with everyone. good option when you want some catering and looking for something a little different. the quality is second to none.
