Stayed overnight on a Saturday with my partner, as part of our 10th Anniversary celebration. The check in staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had dinner in their restaurant ("TG's") but found it to be very overpriced for what it was. (We had actually booked for dinner at a restaurant near by but there was a mix up and we couldn't get in).
The room however, was lovely. Very comfortable bed and the bathroom area was clean.
We enjoyed the full buffet breakfast the following morning, as part of our package.
On the whole, enjoyed the experience and would be happy to go back ... maybe for our 15th? :)

Visited this hotel to attend a research interview. Pleasant front of house staff who directed me to a well presented conference room which was extremely well prepared. Water, tea, coffee, biscuits and mints were readily available. Very comfortable chairs around the table enable the participants to relax and not feel daunted. Pleasant experience

Absolutely adore the fox and hound as it use to be called have been going to this place for many years now and Id recently went for drinks on a friday night. The atmosphere is always relaxed and nice. The bar staff always friendly. Very hospitable. I recommend this to anybody wanting a gr8 place for a drink and a feed. Although not yet eaten there will try it out next time as the meals look absolutely fabulous :-)

Overall this hotel is really nice. I tend to enjoy being in the bar more or a restaurant as they are quite fancy and give you that luxurious feel. As for the rooms, they are pretty out dated and could definitely do with a rennovation to make them more modern and give them a higher level of luxury. Staff are always friendly and when you can grab one of their accomodation specials it makes it more affordable.

This is a very tired place to stay. The rooms could definitely do with a good clean up. The service was good. We ate in their restaurant there called Swish and the food was terrible. I won't be rushing back in a hurry.

5 star lobby, 4 star rooms at best. Very dated worn furnishings and smell old and musty even though the windows open. Not worth the 5 star price
