Tea Tree Gully Dog Grooming

Don't usually leave reviews. But must give credit. My last grooming experience at a local groomer was a nightmare. At this place they done a great job asked what I wanted took care of my two babies. I rebook regularly as you do have to wait to get in

Had my 2 dogs (maltese, male and female) groomed here and was not overly happy with this business. It was easy to get an appointment - they fit me in the following week. They were a bit vague - "just leave them here and we'll call you when they're done". I dropped them off at 2pm, and when they hadn't called by 5pm I was concerned so went around there to collect my dogs. One was finished, and then I sat there with her for another hour while they finished the second one. I had to listen to the female groomer continually growl "NO!" at my male puppy (only 18 months old at the time) as he yelped and growled during the grooming. I know he isn't too keen on being groomed and doesn't like his back legs being touched, but it broke my heart listening to this - it gave the impression that the groomers didn't really know what they were doing or how to handle difficult / scared dogs. It also seemed a rather excessive amount of time - four hours to groom 2 dogs! Overall, they did a good job of the grooming (although I wasn't overly impressed with the fashion cut they did), but after this experience I wouldn't go back there and I wouldn't recommend them. I don't usually leave negative feedback, but I was not happy with the way this business treated my furbabies.

Approximate cost: $60 each

They trim and wash all sized dogs and are accredited. You can ask for what length hair and size and specialise in matted dogs, which many dog groomers won't do. Can be difficult to get an appointment inside a fortnight.
