Great place to go and watch some great live music,they only have a small dance floor and sometimes it can get quite crowded,nice bunch of people that hang out there.

Been here many times to watch live music. While the focus is on jazz they do have other music. The lack of a dance floor can be a problem sometimes.

The Basement is the best place to watch a live band. I like it because unlike other venues, it is not prentitious. Great atmosphere and live music makes it a great place to visit.

This place has really cheap and tasty meals. I like the beef burger, really yummy and not dry like you get some places. You have a few different places to eat, downstairs in the "basement", or up at street level either inside or out. One of the best value places in the city.

A fantastic live music venue. The Basement sees a large range of different artists play and has a perfect atmosphere for its live gigs. A good place for meeting up with friends for a great night out!

I like this place, it is quite nice to get together there for any function. I have been there many times with family and friends and we have all enjoyed it very much, if you haven't seen it before go and see it

The Basement is a great venue. A variety of shows that cater to most tastes-love how close we get to sit to the stage. A good menu if you choose to have dinner there. A very reasonable package for dinner and a show and the wine is not too over priced.

Seen "Idea of North" a couple of times, and am looking forward to seeing a few more bands as they have a great schedule lined up. Love the atmosphere - very cosy and intimate. Great night out.
