Great quiet spot to stop for coffee and cake by the water. One of my favourite spots.

My friend and I both agree that we cannot recall anywhere that served such fine food. My friend had purchased a voucher on line and we loved the whole experience. Entree was seared scallops and sesame crusted prawns and included a wide selection of mains. The final treat was a variety of sweets. The setting was beautiful, the service great and friendly. This is a must visit.

A very nice place to dine at. The atmosphere was really lovely and not too noisy. There were no children which made it quiet and peaceful. The couple near us had just got engaged and it was so lovely. The staff were nice and respectable. I had a seafood dish and everything was perfect. Will definitely be returning as the pricing is good and reasonable.

The staff at The Boathouse are great and the food is fantastic. The place is clean and the ambience is just lovely. Partner and I have been here twice for dinner and both times were great. We will certainly be going back.

8 of us recently had a meal here. We really enjoyed ourselves. The service was friendly and attentive, the drinks list suited all our needs with an excellent selection of local wines. The food was tasty and filling, even if it was a little slow in arriving but we were hungry! We all said we would like to come here again especially in the warmer months when we can see the beautiful surroundings.

The outdoor tables with the view are the way to go. Food is pretty yummy, basic, but tasty. Friendly staff and easy to find.

we had a lovely lunch here,with a few friends. The view to the creek was very pretty. The meals were very nice , however I did have the shank which was a bit stringy but the tart was just lovely.

I have always loved this place and been happy with the food here, thankfully it seems I missed visiting when they had the 'disaster' chef. I am pleased to report the place still has amazing ambiance, great wait staff and most importantly wonderful food. In summer try to get a table outside overlooking the garden and creek - just gorgeous!

Went to dinner last night to check it out as I had read a really bad review. I was delighted by the quality of the food, the service and the overall ambience of the restaurant. So I asked why they had received a bad review. After taking the business over last December, the new owners hired a chef who didn't work out. Take it from me, the new chef is outstanding and the restaurant well worth a visit for dinner. In fact, we are holding my son's 40th at the Restaurant in a couple of weeks.

This is my favourite restaurant in Frankston. I have been 4 times now and each time have had a good experience.
The food has been tasty,the ambience good but the price a bit exy...for us its a special occasion job.
Parking is good-they have their own.

What a bitter dissapointed, having been to the Boathouse upwards of 20 times over the past few years this has always been one of our favourite local restuarants. Good consistent food in a lovely setting. Unfortunately with a new chef and possibly ownership, this restaurant is a disaster. Food was inedible, we had to return our meals untouched. Wine list is limited and one of the two Pinot's was unavailable on the night - according to the staff, they cant carry a lot of wine! Just don't go, the food is terrible, my vegetable fritters were two soggy thin omeletes wrapped around huge chunks of vegetables and the salad was covered in sliced olives straight out of a jar, absolutely disgusting. My partner had steak which was so tasteless he couldn't eat more than one mouthful, I cannot describe how bitterly dissapointed we were.

It was so beautiful on a sunny day to be outside in such a pretty garden next to the creek. The food was great and the staff are amazing and so friendly, they made our experience so much better

Fantastic choice of menu - eaten dinner here & also attended two weddings. They have a lovely menu - great service and overall is a great restaurant. highly recommend

I had my first date with my wife here 8 years ago and we still go back for old times sake. The quality hasn't changed, and its a great atmosphere. Pricey, but worth it on occasion

This place has amazing food in a really nice historic atmosphere with artwork everywhere to observe and even buy. The prices are a bit over the top, but its worth it for a once in a way treat

I have been here at least 8 times in the past couple of years and each time the food and service are unbeatable. However my husband and I took his parents there Saturday night and it was so noisy that we couldn't even have a conversation!! We ended up cutting the night short and skipping desert and coffee which we would normally have and went home to have it instead. The noise level there is a real problem so I would definitely recommend to go mid week to enjoy the experience properly as the food is amazing.

Best to go here in the summer and get a table out on the deck. Lovely relaxing meal, provided the flies stay away. Staff are polite and friendly and food is tasty.

I visited on a Womow recommendation as I needed to meet friends in Frankston and didn't know of any places. The Boathouse restaurant was lovely - food was great, service was attentive. The menu includes entrees, pastas as well as main courses, and a great dessert list! The wine list was reasonable, both in selection and price.

My girlfriend took me to the boat house for my birthday dinner, must admit I had wanted to go for a long time but never got around to it. Well it was worth the wait. Food was great, we both had very different but both fantastic meals. The dinning room itself was lovely with plenty of room and the service was also top notch. Loved it thanks

Fantastic A La Carte Restaurant tucked away in Frankston. Ideal for a special occasion. I took my boyfriend here recently for his birthday (isn't he lucky). We both loved it. We managed to be seated by the open fire. The service, the food and the environment were all 5 star. Highly recommend.
