One of the best vets and people I've known in my life! Very caring and knowledgeable, can listen and explain. Your kitty will be in good hands! I feel lucky that I met Dr Richard many years ago when we relocated from another country and I was looking for a vet who I could trust with my special needs cat. My highest recommendations for The Cat Clinic! I know others who keep bringing their cats for a vet check up to The Clinic even after moving to another suburb. Highly recommended!

Sheer good fortune (and WOMO searching!) brought me to the Cat Clinic and I am incredibly grateful!

After over $600 for three days at a well known so-called animal hospital, I brought our still unwell and highly distressed cat Lucy home with no answers for her illness. She was also soaked in urine from the first night there and had a cut on her leg from the IV process (as far as we could tell.) She cried and trembled until I got her home (and had to bathe her!) and still didn't eat for 24 hours after that. I was furious and distressed, even more so because the discharge recommended blood test they'd forgotten to do!

Three days later we arrived at Cat Clinic - a full hours drive from our house, but we'd travel three times that for the service we received! The lovely receptionist had already requested and received medical histories from the 'hospital' and our original vet. The waiting room was welcoming and everyone coming and going did so with smiles and HAPPY cats! We were already entranced and Lucy was completely calm. (Turns out they use Feliway - smart move!)

When we got in to Dr Amy, she took the time to talk to us first, letting Lucy acclimatise. When she did handle her, she did so calmly and with gentle talk and pats. A few panicked hisses from Lucy quickly subsided and she sat comfortably with her eyes closed and relaxed while Dr Amy patted her and talked to us about the plans going forward.

We came home with a completely relaxed feline, treatment for the cut on her leg, treatment for the stomach problems she has and EXPLANATIONS for all the things the hospital and our other vet never bothered to discuss with us!

Lucy was calm and relaxed, sleeping for the whole trip home in peak hour traffic. No running and hiding when we got home, she strolled out of the cat box and resumed her favourite place of snoozing on the couch.

I don't care how far we have to travel or what it costs, thank GOD for the Cat Clinic. We will always bring Lucy and our other cat Lochie there from now on. Their calmness, compassion for distressed animals and competence is a wonderful change from our previous experiences elsewhere. I now tell everyone I meet about how amazing they are!

I was referred to the cat clinic by Ingrid's Cat Haven where I adopted my cat. My cat has FIV, wanted a Vet that would really care for my boy. My expectation has been exceeded. I see Amy who has given amazing advice every time, she is gentle and thorough in all our visits. They were so understanding one time when my cat refused to get in the cage. They talked me through it, and even though I couldn't get him there they were very understanding. I have told all my friends about the clinic and highly recommend them to anyone who appreciates good service.

I was originally recommended to see The Cat Clinic about 7 years ago by my Mum who lives in Brisbane. Richard had just moved to Melbourne to set up the Clinic with his wife. My Mum had kept raving about this vet and how good he was. So I took my cat Kesi to see him. Kesi trusted Richard straight away. His knowledge, care & honesty is second to none. He gets to know all the cats he sees and has been amazing with his straight forward advice and excellent care. The whole team at the Cat Clinic are very special and caring.

This is the most amazing vet I have ever been to! The staff here are absolutely amazing and love cats which great when you have to take yours in. They only specialise in cats which is very comforting as they know their stuff.

I could not speak more highly about the amazing team at The Cat Clinic. Richard, Amy, Sally and their team were so incredible in their care and treatment of our beloved cat Macgregor and went above and beyond in our attempt to save him during his battle with cancer. It was not just how they all were with Macgregor but the way they kept us informed at all times and their honesty and consideration to us was exceptional. Sadly Macgregor lost his battle but they allowed us to come in after hours and let us say goodbye and helped us through a horrific time and we will be forever grateful.

Richard is just the best! I have 2 fur babies who have been stressed out at other vet practices but they are relaxed & fine with their vaccinations at the Cat Clinic. Richard is very thorough & is happy to answer every question I have. Lovely to find a vet who genuinely cares about cats.

Richard and Amy are fantastic vets. They obviously care an enormous amount for cats and their understanding of cats shows as well as their expertise in feline medicine . The nurses are so friendly and caring. They all were wonderful and were so gentle with my cats whilst we visited. Having no dogs, my cats were more settled when they visited the clinic. My cats were very happy after their boarding stay in the cattery.

Having just moved from Sydney to Melbourne and finding out my cat was now a Diabetic I tried the Vets near where I lived were useless and he nearly died. My Specialist in Sydney recommended the Cat Clinic and they saved my boy. Fantastic lovely caring people - we come from Eltham to visit and would travel any further.

The vet gave a very thorough check of my kitten and didn't mind the barrage of questions I had about cats, being a new cat owner. She took the time to really explain what was going on with my kitten and gave great advice on cat care. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, there were even cat products and books for sale.

Thanks for your comment! I am a new cat owner too and my current vet never answers my questions properly. After reading that the staff at the Cat clinic are helpful I decided to call about my cats fractured tooth (he is a stray I adopted 7 months ago) and they carefully explained how fractured tooth affects the cat and what might need to be done and the approximate cost. I am going to take my cat to this clinic, as he has developed a fear of his current vet.

Extremely good - the best vet clinic I have attended. Richard and his team are very caring and specialize in cats. The cats are given a lot of personal attention. One of my kittens was diagnosed with FIP. I felt Richard made a thorough diagnosis and ran all the appropriate tests. His follow up was excellent.
