Recently The Daffodil has changed hands. They now take EFTPOS, which the previous owners never did and for the most part, everything has remained the same, as the staff are fast and friendly.

I've only eaten there once since it changed hands and for the most part, my lunch (a chicken and salad roll) was really nice, but my suggestion is to not order a roll with chicken in it, as it tasted like the "chicken loaf" stuff you buy at Woolworths. Maybe they were out of real chicken, or maybe it's a cost cutting measure, but I'll certainly avoid it next time -- the previous owners used real shredded chicken.

But that aside, it seemed to be the same great place I've eaten at before, so not too much has changed. Haven't tried their pies or sausage rolls yet, but that'll be next.

The workers here are always friendly, service is always quick even when flat out. Their pies and sausage rolls are the best in town! Nice large selection of cakes too.

These guys definately have the best quality pies in Traralgon! And the kids love the selection of yummy cakes etc...and hubby and I both love their roast rolls as a treat for lunch, yummy!

l enjoy going to the daffodil gourmet for lunch as l really enjoy the tasty pork rolls. Their is a great selection of sweets. I love the chocolate eclairs (my favorite). The employers are always helpful and friendly. The store is always very clean. Prices are good.

These guys have won quite a few awards over the last few years for their pies and with good reason. The filling in their pies fills the entire pie not just half of it and it mostly meat rather than mostly gravy. It is rare that we haven't enjoyed one of their pies, however some of their other products don't rate as well. But if it is a pie you are after, this is the place to go.
