The ladies were efficient enough, the booking process was easy, I was happy to pay the price they charged. However... I felt like I was being judged the WHOLE time the ladies were there. They were older white ladies. I felt like I had to keep apologising for my mess, having 2 young kids, and having to book them to help me pack for a stressful move. They didn't put me at ease at all, didn't even respond when I apologised. Our a/c did not work well for the kitchen (which was the only room I needed them to pack) but I offered drinks and a fan but it didn't ease any sourness on their faces.

Even though the packing went well, I would not go back to them. They whole time they did not try and make small talk with us, they talked to themselves. Honestly made me feel so uneasy as though we were 'below' them and they had to 'help us pack'.

Can't speak highly enough of the crew at The Finishing Touch. Our move was necessary due to unforeseen and somewhat stressful circumstances but the ladies in the office and the two who did the packing (thanks Helen and Kim) were all pleasant, punctual, professional, polite and well presented. A very well run and well respected business. I would not use anyone else.
PS: thanks for recommending Tony and Prince Removals and Storage too. Their service was also 5 star and wouldn't go elsewhere either.

They cancelled at the last minute, after the deadline for removalists citing Corona Virus even though it was proven incorrect (by test). The lack of care and consideration was gobsmacking!

URGENT ALERT - ABUSE OF TRUST & PRIVACY!

Beware! Urgent Breach of Privacy Alert!

We have recently experienced a significant breach of trust & privacy following the use of The Finishing Touch and their staff!

We witnessed a staff member opening and reading private, personal and confidential items and documents!

The companies response and apology were poor and insulting. They were more concerned about the outstanding amount of $100 than the impact their staff member had made after their staff member completely breached and betrayed the trust of their client's privacy!

A completely disgraceful betrayal of trust, and professional behaviour, a company not to be trusted and would never use again or recommend.

This is the second time we have used The Finishing touch. I made an intial inquiry a couple of months before our move. But in the busyness of renovations and all, I forgot to confirm my booking. I rang them 3 days bfore my move day and they were great. Managed to get 2 ladies in that day. My only regret is not getting them to start earlier. They were a great help on a stressful day. Would use them again.

We had never contemplated using a packing and unpacking service before, but when simply putting a small portion of our belongings in storage wrecked my husband's back and exhausted my pregnant body, we decided to give it a go.
It is the best money we have ever spent. Quick, efficient and no 'trips down memory lane' while packing makes moving house a breeze. Margie and Jenny were like family within minutes as they took time to understand how we live - when they unpacked, everything was in such a logical place. Can you imagine moving a 3 bedroom home and being unpacked completely in less than a day? It was just amazing. Thank you ladies. And thank you for the lovely lilies to make our new house feel like a home!

When I suggested we use an un packing service for our move, my wife was sceptical....but after our move, she is grateful. Moving is stressful as it is and it was such a help to have 2 ladies help us unpack. They helped organise the kitchen and the linen cupboards. They made the beds as well which was great as we were exhausted after the move.

Money well spent.

I have used this company a couple of times and the ladies have been supurb. They are a packing and unpacking service. They complement the removal guys who do all the heavy stuff. They were prompt, polite, quick and really had a clue as to how to organise me and my home. They carefully packed all my belongings down to my sock draw! I also also them unpack at the other end. They literally had my house completely put away by the end and in such a logical and beautiful way. Nothing was too much bother. They only thing they did'nt do was lift our heavy things like couches etc, this is apparently not what they do. If your moving house and don't have the time, get these ladies, you won't be sorry. Def having them again if I ever move again.
