When we first got there, the place made a very good impression. A bright clean interior, pretty fish tank, and it was busy as per a normal friday night. There's a small sitting area outside as well with heating lamps to keep warm. The bad bits started when we waited a whopping 30min for our food - kinda crazy for a fast food place. It'd have been alright if the food was good, but it wasn't anywhere close. The fish was overly fried and tasteless. Though the fish was fresh, the over cooking spoilt it. Likewise, the calamari, prawns and scallops were overcooked and tasteless. The food was so oily I couldn't bear to finish my food. A real shame considering what we paid, and that the seafood looked very fresh to begin with. About the best thing on the plate was the chips, which though oily, was crispy.

We ordered take-away - two pieces of fish - one fried, one crumbed and a mixed pack. The fish was meaty and tender but the battered were rather oily, as were the potato cakes. We also missed out on a scallop in the mixed pack. The chips were big and crunchy. We'd try it again just in case we had a slightly off night.

Approximate cost: $10

The FishTank could put most seafood restaurants to shame on freshness and quality. If I was to be critically on anything it would be the with calamari it was extremely fresh however highly seasoned, perhaps slightly too much for our taste. However, everything else was just fantastic.

Last thursday a friend and I decided it was a perfect night for fish and chips at the beach. I found these guys on womow and was not dissapointed. We had grilled flake, greek salad & chips and each was delicious- especially the crunchy chips. We took our food away, but they also have some nice outside seating available. I will be back for more.

Approximate cost: $8

I often buy fresh salmo and flathead from here and it is always great. The take away fish and chips are superb! Crunchy chips and they even have ready marinated fish.

This upmarket fish & chip shop really knows how to make quality food. The fish and chips is great, but the Lamb Souvlaki's are awesome, no fatty cheap lamb here. The Potato cakes are highly recommended, they are very fluffy and scrumtpious.

They also have a large range of fresh fish and pre-marinated seafood to take home and cook yourself.

Approximate cost: $8
