The Grout Guy

Grout guy business is great to deal with. We have had our second shower regrouted because our first experience was SO good. Grout guy provided a quote, the employee attended was so efficient, left our bathroom clean and explained what work he had completed. Our first shower was completed over one year again, and it appears as it was completed yesterday. Grout guy work is of a very high standard.

My beef is with the head office in Perth WA. We got them to remove and re grout our ensuite with epoxy grout. Basically the lovely technician just made a mistake and forgot to add the hardening agent to the epoxy. So at the end of waiting the 3 days after he finished, you just touched the grout Lines with your finger it just fell out. So I called the girls in WA told them of what we now had, she apologised and said that she would get the “head grout technician” to call us back straight away. She asked us to send a detailed email, pictures and if possible a video which we did. After waiting 4 days and heard nothing, I called again - the same girl. Did not know (or remembered) our name let alone our issue. After she looked us up, she said she would call us back straight away after calling her manager. I told her that I expected this issue attended to and fixed within the next 48 hrs. No call came. The next day I called back again, same girl and agin did not appear to recall over conversation some 18 hrs earlier. She placed me on hold (disconnected me). I called back straight away and got another girl who said that she would get the other girl to call me back. She did 5 minutes later to tell me that she could get someone out to re grout again in 15 DAYS,!!! I now was quite angry and demanded to speak with a manager. She said she would email him straight away to get him to call me. She called me back 10 minutes later to say another technician would attend tomorrow to re grout correctly. I told her that I still wanted to speak with a manager, but that I appreciated the technician coming tomorrow. He arrived on time and fixed our shower. I emailed the grout guys to tell them of my dissatisfaction in service from their office side. I said that I was still waiting to speak with the manager, still waiting for an apology. Look I know mistakes can be made, but own them, genuinely apologise but as of 72 hrs after emailing and having our shower repaired after starting 10 days earlier it is fixed but no contact from the head office over on WA of The Grout Guy! Really poor form and pathetic The Grout Guy. Both technicians were lovely but the head office is a joke, not customer focused . Stay away from this company. Deal with local companies!!!
Post Script - Nick from the grout did call me back after he was emailed an advance of my review to admit that the whole issue was his fault and that he dropped the ball. Thank you for that but honestly still not good enough. There seems to be a trend on bad communication here with the grout guy??

So disappointed, very unprofessional and communication the worst I have experienced in a long time. Still waiting for them to come and fix/finish the job some 4 weeks later. My shower definitely NOT brand new and sparkling

First time using The Grout Guy. Dylan and David arrived at my place on the dot. They were very friendly. I wanted to fix an area that wasn't quoted for. The guys said no worries, we can fix it. Then when the job is done, I asked if they can fix another area that wasnt quoted for and again, the guys said not a problem and did it. Service is so excellent it is unbelievable. Thousand Thank You to Dylan and David.

I was so happy with the end result. The bathroom looks like a brand new bathroom and the kitchen floor looks so much bigger.
The boys were all on time and clearly communicated with me, even when problems were encountered (beyond their control) the communication was great.
When the issues arose the problem was fixed and the end result exceeded all expectations. Well worth the investment.

Over priced and communication is terrible and wait time is unreasonable!
Waited 4 weeks for appointment only to be cancelled 1 hour before scheduled appointment time.
Next avail appointment was 2 weeks later! Accepted the appointment by sending an email to which got not response. When I rang them after not hearing from them they had given the appointment away.
Contacted two other contractors who's quotes were both cheaper and could do in better time frame. [Removed comment]

We had James tile a floor for our elderly parents. He was punctual, polite. He did a really nice job. He was quick but professional and left the site clean and tidy. Our parents we really happy with his friendly and helpful attitude. We have no problems recommending the Grout guys to do your tiling.
Ask for James and you wont be disappointed.

Amazing service. Grout-astic! Couldn’t be happier.

[REDACTED] They sent someone that had not gone through a police check and did a runner when the boss asked him to do one. He was already in our house. Luckily nothing was stolen to our knowledge!!!

We asked for 5 tiles to be changed and due to the runner causing so much damage, they had to change 17 tiles. At the end when everything was supposedly done, there were still 2 cracked tiles and 15+ chips tiles, not to mention silicone was not replaced between gaps. We have asked for them to come back to fix the damage they have caused, and guess what, they are not coming back!! They are all about the $$ and don't care about the customers.

Silicone work is appalling. All over the shop.

I had bathroom and en-suite re grouted and was extremely pleased with the result. Young man called Joel did an excellent job and he had a lovely personality, so thankyou again. Maureen at Mindarie

Young guy called Scott was called to repair broken, tiles & grout in my shower that was pretty dated & manky.
Go with the Grout Guy's they are highly recommended.

I got 3 quotes to fix our leaking double shower: Megasealed $1350, The Shower Repair Centre $895 and The Grout Guy $770. I chose The Grout Guy not only because they were the cheapest but because all the reviews I read about the other two were negative and Lee (The Grout Guy) was polite, friendly, on-time and all his reviews were positive. I booked them in, the job was completed and I am more than happy. Would definitely recommend them to all and use them again if needed.

We had our shower regrouted by the grout guy, it was a mess before a young irish man Rob came and carried out the work to a high standard, he was punctual, very polite and clean. We would recommend the grout guy to our friends and family.

The guys found a problem i didn't even know existed and saved me quite a bit of trouble with future wood rot. Would recommend to anyone, fast and friendly, cheers!

Old grout removed and new replaced around bath and kitchen bench. The office lady and the man who performed the job were both polite, friendly and helpful. He was on time and a thorough job. He cleaned up after himself and left me pleased to have had the job done by them.

Resealing shower grout. The job was done very professionally. The Grout Guy was very knowledgeable and friendly, and arrived at the agreed time. The work area was left in a very clean state. Would definately recommend to others.

An old bathroom was re-grouted but the wrong colour was used, and tiles chipped when replacing 1 tile. To their credit, the Grout Guy came back & re-grouted the room and it looks excellent! They were happy to change old shower taps also.

My shower was leaking badly causing damp to appear in the bedroom on the wall joining the bathroom. I had a few cracked tiles that The Grout Guy replaced and then re-grouted the shower. Great job! the shower looks like new and the bedroom wall has dried out .... fantastic no more damp, mouldy smells!

We had the Grout Guys regrout our shower. He did a really good job and made the area look sparkling new. The guy was very friendly and tidied up after himself (it was a messy job!!!) .

they are very good in Fix leaking showers, mould removal, sealing shower screens, waterproofing. very Professional and friendly service. last month called them for fixing shower screens. very neat work and i am fully satisfied with them. highly recommends to all
