This was the first time I had been to the Grovedale Hotel since the interior was redone, and I loved the new look. I was very impressed with the dishes on the menu. My friend ordered the steak, and it wasn't as good as it sounded, but I ordered the stuffed chicken, and that was fantastic. We ordered a second bottle of water after running out and the waitress not noticing, then that bottle never turned up, so we had to get our own, but other than that the service was good.

great meals here, very tasty and very big. definately get what you pay for here which makes me happy. its also a good place for after work drinks with pretty affordable priced drinks

the meals here were so nice, bit pricey but the staff were great, very friendly. i had a parmi and it was fairly big so i guess you get what you pay for. we had a great night there it was a really great atmosphere.

a bit overpriced but the meals here were really delicious ,me and hubby both had a porterhouse steak ,it was quite a good size and really tender,played a few games of pool,the staff and customers were all really friendly ,had a great night out

Friends took me to The Grovedale Hotel for lunch. We ate in the beer garden, which was very pleasant. There was a good selection of meals. I chose the roast of the day special, and we were all amazed at how much food was on my plate! Great value for money.

The service is good and food is nice. The most appealing thing for families is that this hotel has a child play room to keep the little ones entertained while parents eat.

I had the fish and chips here and a nice cool lemon lime and bitters. My friend had the risotto. We both enjoy it here regularly. Excellent open place. Good vibe, pleasant and friendly staff.

Excellent fish and chips. Nice Vegetarian option. Need work on vegan options for the menu. Good place to meet up with friends or family. We go here a lot.

Place looks nice, has plenty of variety inside including TAB and pokies, pool tables and meals areas, but the meals in the restaurant take too long. I mean 1 hour for our table to get their meals is ridiculous. And they tasted pretty average to top it off. Apparently if you order in the bar area it's a lot quicker.

nice spacious venue, nothing worse than feeling cramped in a pub, also is one of few venues in geelong with a decent smoking area, i go to a few gigs and as a rule of thumb i always go to the ones at grovedale hotel because i know ill at least have a semi comfortable evening.

The Grovedale is very good night out. The meals are beautiful and the servings are big. We were a little taken back with the prices - not that they weren't fully justified in the quality - Just that we assumed at the time (being a bistro/pokies place) we were going to be having a cheap 'pub' meal. Not really the case. Even so, the food was delish - will definitely be coming back again.

A close pub that provides entertainment for locals. Didn't expect it to be anything special, however found out on arrival that it caters for a large variety of people and their needs. This includes a sit-down restaurant dinner, a pub counter meal, a gamble, a drink with friends, and a dance to the live band/DJ they provide on weekends. Usually a good night is had by all.
