I had not been for a while, but it seemed vastly improved. The children's area was well organised and set up in an interesting way. My 3 and a half year old loved it. The soft toys were a nice touch . Service was lovely friendly staff.

What a shame. So much potential, but total lack of management let it down. Have just returned from a visit after my 4 year-old son begged to be taken and first impressions were good. However, the visit was spoilt by a family with an out of control 7 year-old (too old to be in there in the first place - esp. since all the signs say max. age 6 years). One small child was kicked in the face and given a bloody lip, my son was called 'a baby' and bullied and antagonised. The parents seemed oblivious and as for the owner of Jitterbugs? She was friends with the parents and all 3 sat drinking coffee whilst this went on and the manager didn't say a word and just smiled inanely at me when I asked the parents to please watch what their boy was doing. The family with the injured child left in disgust - I stuck it out longer as, despite the horrendous 7 year-old, my son was actually enjoying himself. Meanwhile, my blood was boiling and we eventually left as I couldn't put up with it a minute longer. What a joke! Would I go again? No. Would I recommend it? No. Unless the management changes, I would never set foot in there again.

As the owner of The Jitterbugs Play land and Cafe it bothers me to see that you did not say anything at the time. I found a window of opportunity to sit down for a moment and have a coffee with a regular customer and her husband. As I never get a moment ever to do this I do know who I was sitting with on this occasion.
I am sorry if I was oblivious to this drama as I was in the middle of a conversation prior to hurrying off to attend to a personal matter of my own. I did not know that there was a problem, nothing was said to me and I am sure if something was said at the time to my manager or I we would have dealt with it. Nevertheless something should have been said at the time, not later, letting off steam on a website. Sorry!

Errr... I did make a comment at the time - right in front of you. Of course you're allowed to take a break - although the owner/manager of a facility for young children should never be 'oblivious' to what's going on - if you're not in a position to be the on-duty manager, then a deputy should be appointed - there was no-one else around!

We have been coming to Jitterbugs for 2 years. The staff are fantastic. Our grandson loves the fun of it all. I don't think you could find a happier spot anywhere. Great value for money. Coffee good too.

Approximate cost: $10 +

I have been going to Jitterbugs for the last 20 months, and it has bee a great exprience. I have even become their VIP member because of how often my daughter wants to go. She loves one of their staff and if we are ever at Castle Towers the first and only stop must always be Jitterbugs.

I don't have any comparison, but I think it is great for young children. Our granddaughter loved it and we liked the cappuccino

This place is great for toddlers and preschoolers. Some other play cafes can be overwhelming for young ones with a lot of stuff they can't do. This place is great. Entry is reasonable with discounts for more than one sibling and the coffee is impressive. Small cafe area but friendly service and comfortable.

Jitterbugs is a great place to let the kids have a good old play around and stretch their legs in between trying to get the shopping done :)

Great place to take the kids. Can see them from the cafe area. You know they are safe playing in there. Great for both my 3 year old and very active 13 month old.

Approximate cost: $17
