Decided one night to come to this old favourite, but we came a bit early so went to sit in the bar. The waitress came and got us when our table was ready and started off with a bottle of wine.
We order a steak and the duck which were both quite good flavoured, but not so impressive that it would make us want to go back any time soon.
The vibe was here and the atmosphere was here, but all night we thought it lacked a certain something... Not sure what it was.
My partner said the ladies' toilets were nice, but the gentleman's toilet was very bland and boring.

One of the best restaurants I have been too! The steaks are to die for, absolutely mouth watering delicious! I can not compare any other steak to the ones they serve here.

The desserts are also amazing and very fancy.

The place its self is beautiful decorated and the staff are exceptional! The meals can be a bit expensive but its great to treat yourself every now and then or if its a special occasion.

Its a very popular place so I would suggest you book prior to going, especially if its on the weekend as this place can book up weeks in advance (for the weekend).

They have a voucher in the entertainment book under the gold section for buy 1, get 1 free! I can't wait to go back again!

Approximate cost: $25-$50

Wow the steaks here are excellent. Best I've had. The meat was so fresh and tender and it was cooked to perfection which is well done for me and not many chefs like to do that. Wine was exceptional as well

I have only eaten here once before but the food was very good. I bought a beef burger and chips. The burger was quite big and very tasty, but you really did not get very many chips at all. The service was fine but nothing to rave about. They used very fresh, quality ingredients, lovely warm bun, and the relish they used was divine. I was definitely a fan of the burger! I find the Lion can get a bit packed and when it is you can feel quite claustrophobic in there. Its a nice venue for the younger crowd, and although I am not old, I prefer cosy places with a great ambiance. I find it hard to appreciate good quality `anything` when a place is overcrowded and extremely loud. (Great for the venue, but not great for a relaxing meal.)

Approximate cost: $17

I went there with a group friends to celebrate a friends birthday. It was my first time going to this so called 'famous' fine dining restaurant in Adelaide. Although we went there during weekdays, the restaurant is full of patrons. luckily we made a reservations =). I love their waiting staff, always that friendly and good service. In terms of food, I ordered a medium well steak. Gosh, the meat and tender and not too overdone, just like what i like. The accompanying side dish were normal, nothing special.

excellent food, great service. a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. i use the entertainment card so you get a main meal free with the purchase of another main. always ensure you have a booking!

Approximate cost: $25-30

We ate in the restaurant for our wedding anniversary and despite booking 2 days before we had a great table. The waiters were friendly and efficient although one did manage to mislay my entertainment card when we paid. The toilets habe been done up since I was last there and they are very funky.

On the food side of things we were not disappointed. The oysters were very fresh and the steaks cooked to perfection. The highlight however was the desserts. My husband had the churos which he loved and I had the Eaton Mess which was the best dessert I have had in years. Definitely interested in returning for dinner despite the price.

Approximate cost: $38
