This is a really cool place to hang out with friends. The staff, atmosphere, meals, drinks are all perfect. I drop by every time I'm in the area as I just can't go past without stopping.

I was interesting to read that they are owned by the same people who do the Breakfast Creek Hotel. Same formula. Great steaks displayed for you to see. The sides, salads and alternative dishes here are better than Breakfast Creek (which is where I take international friends for the best classic Aussie Steak).

Best place to get my steak fix in Brisbane. I have never had the same satisfaction from having consistent quality of meals than I have had here.

Best 'go-to' place for steaks, calm but fun atmosphere, good bar service. Never disappoints. We tend to avoid on game nights but that's just because we're not crowd people.

Perfectly cooked every time I've been there and steaks actually come with a DECENT salad! Not bruised bits of lettuce and uneven portions of onion tomato etc. Delicious Salads! =)
Meals come with Idaho Potato (YUM) and bread rolls too.

I have been a regular of the Norman for many years and the owners used to own the Brekky Creek, anyway the meals are very similar to the BCH, and their motto "the worst vegetarian restaurant in Brisbane" is a bit tongue in cheek. Alas nothing stands out, its clean etc but can be very noisy and parking is terrible on a busy night.

The Normal Hotel is fantastic, it was extremely hot when I went so it was a pleasure to head inside and enjoy the cool air. I really enjoyed watching the sport on the big telly's but got in trouble from the wife for paying more attention to them then her. Guys, pay attention to your wife. But all was fixed when I put our orders in, I got a lovely steak with potatoe, bacon and a nice salad for around 30ish. My only regret is not getting the 400g steak, I got a glimpse of it when getting my order, I was still happy with mine but seriously 400g steak is just plain awesome. To get that though I think you need about $38. I would have paid it though. My steak I got was perfect. The Norman must have close to the best steaks in Brissy I reckon. They are not the cheapest, but personally I reckon the meals are worth every cent. Parking was great. Staff friendly. Am I going back? Yes, but for the 400g steak!!!!!
