The food today was absolutely delicious,so generous and reasonably priced. I had beef nachos fantastic and my friend had chicken schnitzel. We will be back soon. Thakyou.

The pub is a great place to unwind with a drink after work. Decent prices and even better deals on Thursday. Not a professional atmosphere but a good place to catch up with a friend.

great pub fridays and saturday nights are my fave i have had 2 birthdays here the staff are friendly the drink service is quick and they select good bands to play the garden.

This is a nice pub for a drink and a meal. Meanwhile on certain nights, mostly Friday and Saturday, it becomes a party hotel with a completely different feel.

So choose the time you go here to get the most out of the pub.

Great pub, old school. Great atmosphere. Awesome on the weekends when they have the live band. Cheap drinks and always happy hour. Drinks are same price as local pub for being in a city centre

Great venue for friday / saturday night dance, 3 different entertainment areas up stairs can get very crowded and hot, karaoke in the front bar is always fun, my fave is the live bands in the garden area, drinks are priced same as everywhere else but they do have some good specials.

With a short time till the baby's due, My friends thought it would be a great idea to catch up for some drinks at the Victory. We chose to go on a Friday and went for a few hours. It was great, fantastic drink prices. I must admit before this I hadn't been for some time. However it use to be a work drinks staple to go there. Drinks are excellent and my mates and I have spent alot of time in the beer garden. We primarily go here for the cheap drinks and live music, the victory showcases good talent. I've also used the $10 lunches which were great. I did find out first hand though when I went to go back on a friday that the lunches only run from Monday - Thursday (disappointing). But I guess that's my fault for not checking first. Even still the prices are reasonable. I still remember the old victory before the new reno's, I sure miss it, but the new reno is still good.

I have to agree with the other reviewers here - why does this place always smell bad?

As far as a bar in the city goes the real thing that lets them down (other than the smell) is the bouncers that work here. Maybe I'm just the kind of person they like to target (5'10" and 150lbs - ie, an easy target).

There are plenty of other places to drink in the city.

Not a fan, never have been, never will be, Thursday Night has cheap drinks which is good for the tight on $$$, but other than that there is plenty of other places you could go, may seem like a harsh review but the only good thing about this place is the cheap drinks......

Well, this place sure smells bad. If you can get past this though its a pretty good place. Always packed on a weekend so good place to party. Pretty good happy hour and is always PACKED on thursdays so it is a great place to go for student night. The outside area doesnt smell so bad (I think it might be the inside carpets) and is a nice place to sit and drink. Overall not a bad night out here!
