A very nice place to stay. I love the glass roof of the atrium where the restaurant is. Feel like outside but airconditioned
The location of this hotel is perfect, because it is literary in the middle of the city. Easy to go shopping, to the harbors, to the parks etc.. The room is very nice and modern. I like the glass window between the room and the bathroom! Very sophisticated hotel.
We stayed here on new years eve and the rooms and hotel in general were of a very high standard . Being New Years Eve everything in town was booked out and very expensive anyway. The Westin was very central ( near Martin Place ) had it been closer to the water it probably wouldve been fully booked too. The rooms were lovelly and well equipped. 7 dollars for a bottle of water was a bit much however.
it was a nice experience i would deffenitly go there again they have great staff good service like it not much to improve on i would go there again.the rooms are cozy they everything you would need on a holiday.i like it more than some more expensive hotels.over all its great so i think lots of people would enjoy it
another hotel in town i spent 3nights in a deluxe king room the bed was so big and comfortable,as soon as u walk in there are so many buisness people sitting in the forure bar, theres a little cafe reasonable in price
I was part of 1300 people who celebrated our churches special time of year for giving. This is apparently the biggest catering that any hotel in OZ has done. We split into two rooms because of the overflow but was given every service and help when needed. I am not a coniseur of hotels but found this to be in all things " EXCELLENT" and after a great night with friends around a table of ten we ate like kings and dined with laughter and table service that gave us great pleasure. Such a labour for so many but all was done with spiff and spotless professional courtesy. For this sort of occassion, I can recommend the layout the atmosphere and the food. Only thing is the parking which was an added cost of $30 for the night unless you book an overnight with them
Sounds like you had a great experience here, how come 4/5 overall rating? is it because of the price? how much did it cost you ?
Great to know the hotel was to standard. Ive heard great things about this hotel chain.. price of parking is to be expected.
I paid $70 for 5 mins at another sydney hotel... I think it was Sheraton on the park..
great writing! i better go there!!
I love this hotel.
We used this hotel for our honeymoon night.
I have stayed here several times and they have a few different room types. The Heritage wing has older beautiful rooms with high ceilings.
The service here is impeccable, nothing is to much trouble.
On the lower ground level is the GPO shopping area which you just have to visit. There is a cheese room you must see.
thanks for the review! i was wondering if i should go there or not but im going now!
I love this hotel because it is not like the other hotels in Sydney. Beautifully appointed with specialist bars and eateries. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Good choice - I love this hotel too
just an absolutely beautiful place in the GPO building with everything you need right at hand - you cant beat the westin for style well worth the stay
Approximate cost: $300
We had heard wonderful things about The Westin in Sydney but we were really disappointed. When we arrived very tired and wanted a bath, there was no bath robe so we called down and were told they would be sent up. Cool but they never arrived. Then there was not enough coffee replaced the next morning we had to call to have some coffee and cutlery brought up. The sheets had some small brown marks on them and the worst was the second morning we had no hot water. I found this out trying to have a shower. I complained to management and never heard any thing back. I won't go back again too many great hotels to chose from.
