This is a nice family restaurant it has an outdoor play area the food is good pub food. Nice and relaxing

This place is brilliant excellent food served quickly amazing service and a great atmosphere, i do love this place and its somewhere i can guarantee a good meal and service.

superb, food, service, bar, we always have a fantastic time here and over the festive period it was even better!! atmosphere was great on new years eve and the band in the bar really brought in the new year well, cant beat it in my opinion.

Fantastic place, food is awesome and so are the wait staff im never disappointed. it seems to get better every time. i love the garlic bread and mushroom sauce are amazing

Cracking night out!! food is fab and so is the drink selection we went in last night for a meal, then went through to the bar where they had a dj on playing a great mix from 70s all the way to up to date songs, great mix of a crowd as well. will be back next Saturday, great local!!

had a great night last night there!!! they did some kind of sing off show and we thought we would pop down just to have a look, so glad we did it was great we stayed pretty much right until the end and loved every second of it! all the contestants were faba nd it was excellent to see them all on the stage together at the end of the nigh, great drinks, great show and it was packed. good times.

I have been to this tavern a couple of times now, during the day & night. the atmosphere there is always great & the food & drinks are even better! great place to go for a casual drink with a couple of mates, to a formal night out with dinner!

we went to their T.O.W.I.E themed night on friday, it was awesome the bar was like a nice purple colour with all the lighting and everyone behind the bar looked great, i even won a nice bottle of fizz in the draws that they do evry week while this is on, great atmosphere as usual and the dj was awesome too!!! get yourselves down.

we had and incredible meal here, the seafood platter is to die for and my friend had the christmas chicken that i had to try and was equally as incredible! feeling a little full and almost falling into a food coma we decided on one last drink for the road....... we didnt get home until 11:45!!! to our surprise there was a tom jones tribute act on, im not a big fan but the atmosphere was great so we decided to stay and it was well worth it, the girls behind the bar and in the restaurant are lovely and the dj after the show was fantastic, what a great surprise night.

What fantastic value for money..... my husband and i went in for diner and were amazed by the quality and portion size of our meals, my husband had a great tbone steak and i had the chicken carbonara, we were full and delighted with our choices. reccommended!!

my friends and i had a meal in the restaurant before moving into the bar, what a night we had. It was fabulous, we had a fantastic meal, even though the restaurant was packed we were looked after like we were the only ones in there, excellent service!! we then watched the beatles adn rolling stones tribute acts....amazing, we expected to pay to get in and it was free and they even had cheap quirky named cocktails, the john lennon was my favourite lol. im keeping my eye out for the next show for sure, a bit of a sore head and some interesting photos this morning but well worth it lol!!

My Wife and i have just moved into the area and we went to the whale & Ale for the first time last night .... it was lovely, we had a beautiful meal in the restaurant and we were extreemely well looked after by all the friendly staff, great food and drink selection, we have found our new favourite place.

Everything you expect from a Pub restaurant, the atmosphere, menu, food, etc but done well. Its very relaxed and modern in here and a great place to catch up with friends with a meal. There's a great drinks list too (suppose it is a pub). Would be going again as its such a relaxed place to go and unwind after work, etc.

Lovely pub for a warm winter meal. So nice to sit buy a nice hot fire with my husband and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a great meal, great service and to feel comfortable and welcome.

Cant wait until tomorrow!!! My boyfriend and i thought we would try this place last monday for dinner when we arrived they had a pub quiz about to start and thought we would give it a try, the compare was great and the atmosphere was brilliant, its so nice to be able to sit down and have a restaurant meal and service rather than your typical food at a quiz. We're looking forward to tomorrow and hoping we do a little better than last week!! excellent place, a big recommendation from us.

Me and my mates went to watch the rugby as we heard this is a great pub for rugby. What a great atmosphere. Beers are so cheap it great, huge line up of beers to choose from. We had a bit of pub grub as well and this did not disappoint. Great place will now make this my local.

Amazing Friday Night!!! we had heard that they had a sex and the city night on so we thought we would try it, firstly $10 cocktails... brilliant! secondly...... fantastic DJ playing some really great music and lastly it was packed!! we had a great night and will be keeping our eye open for all their other events thats for sure!

We always have a great night here! myself and a few girlfriends went to the whale and ale for dinner on saturday night and had a nice surprise to hear they had live music on.... as they do most saturdays apparently, a great place for food drinks and music.

Love this pub for its food and great service. Always have a great meal here.Love the Tribute nights that have been going on and the karaoke is fantasic. Give this little pub a go, you wont be dissapointed.

went to the whale and ale last night for the first time as it was recommended by some friends and had a tina turner tribute act on...... AWESOME NIGHT!! we started in the restaurant for a meal, it was very busy but we were very well looked after, the meals were great (chicken filo is amazing!!) they are really well priced and lovely!! the staff were great! next the 8 of us went through to the bar and had cocktails and watched the show... great atmosphere, great crowd, great show, we had an awesome night.... highly recommended!!

Love this place it has been my local since i moved over here 3 years ago the meals are amazing service from everyone is wonderful also and the prices are pretty good also i would take anyone here

Went here for a drink with some friends, as its close to home.Such a great pub,the husband thought the place was great as they have a huge varity of beers on tap and bottle. We stayed for the entertainment which was a band and it was a great night by all. Would really recomend this pub for the lover of beer and for the love of live music.

For a whale of a time! This place is surprisingly decent considering most pubs around the area have a decidedly "bogan" crowd. As the name suggests they have a good choice of ales for the beer lovers which can be consumed with one of their excellent and very well priced meals. Well worth the drive.

We went to The Whale and Ale tonight for lunch/dinner. First time here and what a gem of a place. We have 2 kids so it was a delight that they have a kids club. The kids went off and played (while being supervised by a worker) while me and the husband enjoyed our dinner together. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. Food here was great as well. So thinking of going out and having to take the kids with you go here, I will be back again thats for sure.

Went here for lunch, very nice inside and spacious. Great for kids to run around wihtout annoying anyone else. I had the Sunday Roast which was very average - bland. Others had the fish and pasta dishes which looked and tasted delicious. Service was very good and prices are great.

All I can say is WOW! I've been told by a few friends that the Whale+Ale Tavern had great food, so I decided to take my family there for dinner last Wednesday. I loved the atmosphere of the place! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest staff. Although the place was quite busy we were looked after throughout the whole evening. The Food was exquisite. It was reasonably priced for the size of the meals. All and all we had a great time at the whale and recommend it to anybody. Definently would go there again. :)
