I recommend Melanie Cane's CalmBirth course to any couple who wants a positive birth experience! Before the course, my husband and I were expecting labour to be painful, traumatic and expected to need an epidural and a lot of midwife/doctor help. After the course we were both empowered with so much knowledge of the natural birth process, and immense trust in my body and our baby to do what needs to be done to deliver safely. The logic and science behind CalmBirth's approach appealed to our practical nature, and I can attest that it works! I did all my homework - practiced the breathing, relaxation, visualisations, reread my notes. We listened to the recordings together and practiced with Husband guiding my relaxation. CalmBirth gave my husband the confidence and strategies to be a much bigger part of the birth than he expected.
On the day, it all just worked. I can honestly say that I did not feel "pain", I felt "pressure". I used a TENS machine & CalmBirth breathing, and husband's constant support, and did not need medical pain relief. This meant our baby was born with a clear head free of sedating drugs, and was able to breastfeed early, setting us all up with the best start together!
We then used Melanie's service again in the early days for breastfeeding and early parenting support, which again was so reassuring and empowering. Thank you Melanie!

It's very rare in my experience to find a holistic healthcare practitioner who you see once and then who not only follows up but allows you to call/text/email with questions/worries/ sleep deprived anxieties long after your consultation has finished. Charlotte Ingram is a amazing example of a naturopath who truly knows her stuff, dishes out brilliant advice but more than this is just a very compassionate, caring and dedicated professional who has saved my sanity on several occasions. I feel very grateful for having met her and for receiving her wisdom as both a professional naturopath and super mum! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a holistic and thorough health professional.

My Husband and I completed the weekend calm birth class in preparation for the birth of our first child. We both found Melanie sincere and welcoming. Prior to attending the course I was nervous of what to expect and my husband had very little knowledge of what to expect. Calm birth class provided us with the knowledge to be empowered at the birth and to feel confident in questioning/asking medical staff . I would recommend this class to all pregnant couples , we completed this course prior to the hospital ran anti natal classes and we felt so much more informed.
Don't waste your money on books - book yourself in to the calm birth class .

Our two year old son saw Charlotte for her naturopathy services last Saturday, today is Wednesday and he is already improving! WOW! I see Charlotte at TLC for naturopathy. She creates a comfortable space to discuss wellbeing, and builds great rapport with her clients, I felt like I was able to tell her anything and everything. She took a great interest in my health and wellbeing and knew exactly what to prescribe. The prescribed remedies have been just what I needed to get back to feeling healthy and well again.

I visited here last month and saw Charlotte for a naturopathy visit. I found myself completely comfortable blurting out my concerns at a million miles an hour. She made me feel so relaxed and met every concern with practical advice, re-assertion or alternatives. I will certainly be back and am happy to say she will be my regular naturopath for now on.

I took my 18 month old to see Charlotte the naturopath at TLC after seeing regular doctors and trying other recommended treatments about her unusually runny nose (it never stopped running).
