Avoid this company. 3 weeks after install I get a call from installer informing me that he has not been paid for his work and he wants to remove the cabling he supplied. Over 3 months & still waiting to be connected to the grid. Treac have refused to reply to multiple requests from my power supplier & myself to have me connected. Very angry with this garbage service & not getting what I have paid for.

Call your bank and tell them to stop your direct debit payments to TREAC Solar, also ask them to refund all payments to TREAC Solar. They have screwed me over for months as well, this worked for me. Even if it is on finance, stop the payments, he is a dirty lying scammer.

I recently purchased a 3KW system from this company after being called up by one of their telemarketers and I've got to say I cannot fault their service one bit! The saleswoman who came round answered all our questions and the installers were friendly and efficient. I'm leaving this review because the company asked if we were happy with the service to drop them a good testimonial online. Thumbs up!

(FYI I got 12 Trina panels and an SMA inverter).

"TREAC are a happy cohesive team. From the friendly, informative consultant Russell and the punctual, efficient installers to the helpful admin staff. We purchased a 3KW system and would recommend TREAC to prospective solar buyers. Thankyou very much.

It is very unfortunate that this customer has failed to submit all the information regarding this job. in the first instance the customer was notified that the job would be installed the week commencing the 3rd, they unfortunately interpreted that as the actual day the third.
The issue with the roof is very straight forward and we have know had tile brackets modified to address the customers concern. The installation was carried out on a tiled roof using Clenergy tile brackets that are fully accredited by the Clean Energy Council. TREAC uses these brackets on every domestic installation we undertake. On completion of the installation we arranged for an inspection by an independent Solar installation inspector. The customer approached the inspector and expressed concerns that the tile above the position of the brackets were sitting approximately 10 mm higher at the leading edge than the tiles with no bracket underneath. A standard fix for this is to run a bead of silicon across the leading edge of the tile to ensure no ingress of water. The leading edge of the tile is at the lowest point of the tile as it sits over the top of the tile below. The customer refused to allow the inspector to pass the installation albeit in our opinion the installation was within the very high standard of work we insist on with all our installations. Our installation manager had our installers take photos of the tiles and explained to the customer that the issue is not with the bracket or the installation but there was an issue with the timbers under the tiles
.The customer was not happy with that explanation and refused to allow the inspector to pass the job despite it being fully compliant. I as a director of the company had a look at the photos and agreed with my installation crew that it was acceptable. However in light of the customers concerns I arranged for a set of brackets to be sent to an engineering workshop to be modified to reduce the height by 10mm. This is a task that cannot be undertaken by any one with a saw and a welder. It has to be done by an accredited co to ensure the integrity of the welds etc. This has been done at a cost to us of $436.00. The customer had been told that once the solution to his complaint was finalised he would be contacted and the tile brackets replaced . As I said we have had the brackets since last Thursday and are awaiting for a gap in our schedule to complete the works. This would have been done this week but unfortunately due to bad weather we have fallen 4 days behind with our installations. To complicate matters further the father of our Installation manager passed away suddenly of Wednesday evening. We will contact this customer and arrange a time asap to complete this task. We really appreciate the any feedback from our clients as it serves as a great reward for our work ,we also appreciate feed back in any areas in which we have been deficient or perceived to be deficient. I think it unfortunate that this client has chosen to lambast us so heavily for a situation that is well in hand , is causing no electrical, mechanical or safety issue and would best be described as a cosmetic issue if someone was looking closely at the tiles once on the roof. We envisage the job will be finalised mid next week and will advise the customer of that once the schedule is confirmed.

In reply to TREAC post, I received a message from salesman on 21st Feb saying "Hi (my name). Install 3rd March. (Salesman name)" in my opinion that means the installers will do the job on the 3rd of March and I think every other consumer would think the same.
On the morning of the 3rd no trades arrived and as I had taken the day off work I rang the salesman but no answer, left message. Again at approx 1pm I rang the salesman as there were still no trades or returned call, once again no answer so I left another message. A text message at 1:30pm to say install was not today we will contact you and organise......
Great day off work for nothing.
Fitment was then organised for 7th March. Trades arrived started working then I pointed out to them that they had the wrong panels, oh.
Long weekend went by and they returned on 11th March with the correct panels, hooray, more time off work.
On there arrival I questioned the fitters if there should be that much gap in tiles, yep we fill it up with silicone.
Waited till the 17th for independant inspector to come who I simply asked "is that tile gap normal" he advised me it wasn't and he would get the installers to fix it before sighting off on the job.
At no stage have I refused sign off just simply asked it to be right.
The fitters then arrived again with more silicon...
This 10mm gap they speak of is actually 18mm at minimum, and this is why, distance from top of rafter to top of tile is 38mm, the bracket they used has a 50mm rise and it is 6mm thick steel therefore pushing the upper tile (56mm - 38mm) 18mm above the lower tile, and that is only where the top tile fits snug on bracket so in some spots this 10mm they speak of is actually closer to 25mm.
The fitters kept filling with silicon and when asked what sort of warranty is on the silicon fix they couldn't answer me.....
No I was not happy with this so I asked another solar company what I should do and was advised if they do not fix it satisfactory then I should call the Green Energy Council, I call the inspector to ask what the next step was regarding having it fixed/signed off and was advised that TREAC had told the inspector I was happy with there silicone fix.NO I was not.
Left it to the inspector to contact TREAC but after approx a week had heard nothin so called them and was advised to contact there head fitter, I called there head fitter to which I was advised he had rang the clean energy council and they would tell me my roof was okay, awaited there call, nothing so I rang them and was advised my roof is not right and TREAC had been advised to rectify it. To this date TREAC have not made contact with me......
Throughout this whole ordeal TREAC have failed to keep me aware of what's going on which certainly does not give me confidence.
Every time I have had to follow up things and call them I have been told that they are having phone problems or computer problems that is why they haven't called me back.
When I was first messed around with install dates and wrong parts I lost time from work so asked if there could be some sort of compensation, was told a manager would ring, two days later I had to call them and the office person told me I got a good price from the start so no compensation, I agree I got a good price but that was agreed on before all the lost time.
The salesman sold me what I believe to be a good system at a good price but that's where the good stopped.
I stand by my statement of

I did a lot of research before I select the Solar company and now I am really happy with the TREAC. They are very professional and ensure the quality of the service. I have installed 4KW system and now I am getting the Max benefit from it. May be their price is little bit higher but it will be worth of the service with satisfaction. I strongly recommended TREAC for their excellent service and quality of work and I am lucky that I made he right decision.
