The tofu burrito rules. It's very filling and I've never finished one! The place can get pretty busy and there's often people eating takeaway in the alley next door. Service can be a bit slow sometimes, but the food is great, and very affordable too

Fast, no frills, super excellent Mexican. I get my weekly tofu fix here and love it, the fries are not to be missed! We come with the little fella and he loves it too, he is fussier than us so that says something.

Approximate cost: $11

The food is completely vegetarian and like most Mexican food, it can get quite messy. I got the generously sized tofu asada burrito,I quite like the tortilla- soft and thin. The place is kind of small, so my friend and I went a couple of streets down to Carlton Gardens and happily ate our food there. Cheap, good food if you want your fix of vegetarian food.

Approximate cost: $10

Previous comments regarding the size of the restaurant can now rejoice: Trippy Tacos has a new location with a much bigger space.

I learnt the hard way when I rocked up to Smith Street and didn't find one of my favourite vegetarian/vegan restaurants. Fortunately (with the aid of the trusty iphone), we were able to find it a few footsteps away on a side street.

New venue, but same great food. Thanks Trippy Tacos!!

I heard good things about this place, but I guess I didn't ask the right questions before I went. They serve vegetarian food here, so if you are a carnivore like myself I warn you now. Servings were a good size, but the food lacked flavour, it just needed something else, the chili sauces at the tables barely helped. The place is quite small so it is difficult to move around, and to my surprise it is quite a popular place. Cheap food, but for my meat cravings it certainly was not my place to eat.

Approximate cost: $10.00

Everything always tastes better when it wasn't brutally killed first.

I have been here several times for lunch and have been happy with each visit. The food is freshly prepared and is completely vegetarian which is not normally my thing- but I never notice the absence of meat...

Approximate cost: $10

Came in on a quiet early afternoon on a saturday, no struggle for a seat, though the tables are tiny along the wall. Food is so very tasty, the Crispy Chocolate Taquitos is an absolute sensation, miss it at your peril. perfect combinations of flavours and textures, would move suburb to be closer to it!

Approximate cost: $9

So far this month my family has got take-away from this place twice! I've also eaten at the restaurant with friends before. Nice food and atmosphere.

I didn't mention to the meat-lovers in my family that they were in fact eating vegetarian / vegan, and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
