Walked in quite early in the morning without an appointment and met the lovely Natalie who worked magic on my tired, dry and no-style hair. I had a wash, conditioning treatment and trim and I don't know how she did it but I walked out with a whole new glossy, soft and amazingly styled head of hair!
The salon is small and modern, everything is spotlessly clean and it has a lovely welcoming feel to it. Im not sure how the cost rates to other Melbourne salons but I felt that it was worth it for the end result. This was my first visit and I am already looking forward to my next!

I moved from Sydney to Melbourne 18 months ago and tried several hairdressers before coming across Aaron at Unico and he's fantastic! It was such a relief to find a hairdresser who consistently does a great job. I became so confident in his skills and advice after the first couple of cuts, that I trusted his suggestion of a completely new style and have been really pleased with it. Aaron's a very genuine and friendly person and patiently listens to what I want each time I visit and I always leave happy!

I have been visiting Unico - Degraves from the past 12 months and the service is fantastic.

The first time that I went there was because I bought a $69 Deals voucher.

Molly is a very professional person and she always get what I want.

I have tried few other places but I am always coming back to Unico because it is worthy to pay the money.Unico Degraves is the best place I have ever been to for foils and cut and treatments.

Once again, Molly is the best!!!!!

Approximate cost: $150

Well I went there to get a haircut and color my regrowth
I went twice as I got a voucher from deals.com.au
The first time I went there everything was wow though they can't give me the red color that I want I didn't mind that much. I went t other salon like 3 months after my visit to unico hair to have my hair dyed red, I paid $200 for that but before the stylist did anything on me she told me the chemical that was used on your hair was very harsh, who did this to you! And then I explained everything and the stylist was very concern as well with the hair dye result because part of my hair that got colored in unico hair has died and can no longer absorbs color
I wasted $200 because the chemical that used in unico hair salon

Went there for the second time only for the haircut (to used up my voucher anyway) and I was tempted to give them a second chance to color my regrowth and man how I regret it. When the hair dye is placed on my scalp my throat was itchy from the smell and I kept coughing. The assistant was kind enough to ask me whether I'm okay

Then after I went home my scalp was itchy and painful. The next day I realized that I got small bumps growing all over my scalp it was itchy as hell and painful at the same time. I contacted them through their Facebook page (private message and not on their wall). I was only asking them what can I do with these small bumps I even said in very satisfied with their customer service

One week and still get no response, regretfully I need to take back my words on how good their customer service is and I am 100% sure will never go back to this salon again even though for free rather than I become stressful from the small bumps and no one take consequence of that

Approximate cost: $69

As promised to D'Artanian sorry for delay I am not a computer expert - At the moment we are in Batemans Bay NSW in a motel on the Clyde River.
Am so happy: my hair sits still perfect. Don't have to style it, as it
falls into shape by itself. Thank you - best cut I've ever had and I don't want anyone else to cut it in Canada.
We will drive up to Sydney soon and then flying back home to Toronto.
We Are a bit sed, bcause we love Australia....and I love my hair!
Can I be be you most remote customer? Hope to come back to Melbourne onw
day.
Greeting, Groetjes!
Marianne (Canada - Toronto)

I had been a client of the Little Collins Street salon for the best part of the year.
The quality of the colour is very dependent on the operator and having received an unsatisfactory colour on my very first visit, returned to have the problem remedied and had my hair coloured by a terrific colourist (to whom I kept returning afterward) and fringe re-cut by the Artistic Director who kept pushing his service but was not very personable or particularly friendly while cutting.
On several visits I observed the Artistic Director inappropriately reprimanding staff in front of customers - which only makes for an unpleasant atmosphere and makes the customer feel very uncomfortable to witness this treatment of staff.
Despite this significant shortcoming, I kept returning as I was very satisfied with my cutter and colourist, who consistently gave one of the best colour and cuts that I can remember. However, on my last visit I stressed the importance of that visit and had sent pictures of what I wanted but these were ignored and almost no effort was made to understand or provide what I wanted (despite that I usually gave relatively free reign). I was treated quite rudely and felt belittled (as my requests were ignored) despite always being free with my praise to the technician. Despite being dissatisfied, no follow up was made by the salon as is often the case at other salons who are customer focussed.
As a result, I will not return and cannot recommend.
A salon treatment is supposed to provide the client with positive and personable service and, ideally, result in the client leaving in a happy and positive mindset, not the exact opposite.

I had an absolutely terrible experience here! Colour disaster (picture a lightening bolt bothcy patch of blonde hair at the front of my head), which the colourist tried to fix and made worse. Then she was horribly rude to me and snapped at me when I suggested a discount. DO NOT GO THERE!
