Went there twice in 3 nights at a cost of $374 for 2 adults and two children to eat, on the second night we found out that locals don't pay anywhere near as much to eat as tourists do which is a disgrace, asked girl at register why locals get it cheaper and she didn't know why , she has just been told not to charge them as much, without tourists there would be no view 42 restaurant, or anything else at Strahan , shame on you , regards David

This place is just spectacular situated right on the harbour the views were just amazing a great place to have a meal and drink after exploring the rugged west coast the meals were absolutely amazing and staff were so lovely and had a great knowledge of the area and it history

This is a great place to sit on the balcony with a cold drink and enjoy the views over the harbour. We really enjoyed watching the boats, helicopters and plane coming and going after a busy day exploring the area. The drinks are a reasonable price and you can taste most wines before you buy a glass so you know what you are getting:) Their tappas are also very tasty!
