FOOF & SERVICE is terrific...BUT trying to get a car park is near impossible... Today, April 3, my wife and parked in Cafe Carpark,
sign says Cafe Carpark after 11am until 8pm.. We were there at noon and got blocked in by several Vili's Vans unloading empty trays...and then drivers just standing around chatting while we and 2 others couldn't leave and new customers couldn't enter the Carpark

I came to this place a couple days ago and I loved the pies and the pasties and the dessert. It was delicious and I would come here everyday if I could. The fact that they open 24 hours is amazing and you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I definitely recommend Villi's!

I have been coming here for two years. Friendly and quick service. Fantastic coffee, always worth a trip :)

Absolute Adelaide Icon! Food is delicious, service is always great, it is one of those places you have to try when in Adelaide! Always come back, well done guys.

Another visit here for a quick lunch. Just a pie and a coffee which I really enjoyed. The cafe was busy as usual but there are sufficient staff to ensure a rapid turnover. As this cafe is open 24 hours a day it is a treasure for all the night owls.

A lot of shift workers call in there, which was obvious when we stopped for some morning tea. Their doughnuts are nice and were certainly fresh but I'm not keen on their pies and pasties - too peppery for my taste. The woman who served us was clearly rushed but she might be friendlier if it hadn't been so busy.

I'll give that this place is open 24/7, but after finding out about comparable places on the Eastern seaboard, this one is 'tame' to say the least.
Everything is just too simple and they know they have no competition in their opening hours.

It is still handy to drop into every now and again It is an experience too

It's great that Vili's is open 24/7. I often drop in for a pie or sausage roll on my way home from the airport at all hours after returning from an interstate trip. Service is always friendly no matter what time it is and the food is consistently fresh (of course) and delicious.

This cafe which is next door the Vili's factory/bakery is great. A wide range of goods on the menu from soups, roasts and of course their range of baked product fresh from the factory. Large seating area, toilets and friendly service. Always busy whatever time of day or night and is open 24 hours which is great for shift workers and night owls. Enjoyed my sausage roll and coffee (as expected). A favourite spot to drop into.

Bobby123 04 Feb 2015

I like the Vili's cafe as you know everything is fresh, their pies and sausage rolls are fabulous.

Shazzbot1 05 Feb 2015

I have had many delicious treats from here.

Another visit to Cafe de Vili's. This cafe is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and over the last 50 years or so has become an Adelaide institution. Large eating area which serves produce from the Vili's bakery next door as well as cafe food. eg roast meats etc, soups, tea, coffee etc. Always busy with a wide variety of customers from taxi drivers, shift workers and those on their way home from evening outings. Car parking available and sometimes even a parking assistant. The food is fantastic and the prices great. Well worth a visit just for the experience.

Loves their pies and sausage rolls

I just love the Vili's sausage rolls and vanilla slices, an absolute must whenever I go here. My girlfriend loves the schnitzel and those delicious donuts, we always take a few home.

Always fresh delicious food and service with a friendly smile, but I do think the prices are a bit high.

A South Australian icon that pleases everybody

verified email - 19 Mar 2014

I love the fact that the place opens 24/7 since there are not many restaurants and fast food places that open in the middle of the night. The chips and chicken schnitzel with gravy was quite nice and the price was decent however I found some of the bakery produce quite expensive compared to many others I have came across.

happyshopping 26 Mar 2015

Great to know they are always open

verified email - 14 Feb 2014

Every time I go here it is always amazing. The food is great, and always comes out hot (when it's supposed to be) and fresh.
It can sometimes take a while to get served depending on the time of day due to so many people waiting, but if anything this is a testament to how good it is.
The fact that they are open 24/7 is an added bonus, as well as the convenient location.

Shazzbot1 14 Feb 2014

It's great when on the way home after a late night out you can still get some great food here. Love their pies and sausage rolls.

verified email - 04 Feb 2014

For the fact they are open 24/7, this is a good quality.
Their food is pricey for pies and fast food. But the presentation isn't exactly their top priority.
My partner says that this place is actually quite disappointing compared to Harry's De Wheels (Harry's Hotdogs as she calls it) in Sydney.

But of course Sydney doesn't have pie floaters.

Approximate cost: $above average

happyshopping 05 Feb 2014

I always enjoy Vili's Cafe. However I acknowledge that fast food in Sydney always seems cheaper than in Adelaide.

RedDwarf 09 Feb 2014

You need to try their sausage rolls and vanilla slices.

verified email - 17 Oct 2013

I have been here a number of times now, their food is fabulous! You can eat in or take away. I usually order one of their plain pies, I have tried the curry beef pie and it was great, the pastry was light, it was full of flavour. The sausage rolls are a must and once you see their cakes/donuts you wont know which to try. My favourites are the chocolate custard berliner and vanilla slice. They also do hot chips and burgers as well as many other meals, a reasonable menu, is a bit pricey, but worth it. You can eat inside and also outside dining. But what I really like is that they are open 24/7.

This place was a savour in my younger days, especially after being out when I didn't feel like macca's, hungry jacks or servo food!

I love the fact that not only can you get your pies and cake, but they actually have meals there.

Its also great for a breakfast as well, especially if you have to start work at a very early hour!

Shazzbot1 17 Sep 2013

thanks, sounds really good

So happy to be able to come to this place 24/7. The place is always full with customers, sometimes its impossible to get a table but its so worth the visit. They by far have the best cakes around

verified email - 21 Aug 2013

I always go here before or after concerts as its open 24hrs, it's always busy so parking can be an issue at time but has a wide range of hot food and sweets and is always fresh

verified email - 21 Aug 2013

Having access to such amazing food, 24/7 is dangerous! The place is always bustling with customers, sometimes its a task to get a table but its worth the visit. Probably the best chips and gravy in adelaide and their cakes and donuts are amazing also. Friendly staff and quick service.

watersport 21 Aug 2013

We really like it here too

verified email - 21 Aug 2013

Excellent little place. Food is always fresh. Good variety of different hot and cold. Love the selection of cakes and slices. Love the vanilla slices. Staff are so friendly. Always busy inside when I got here. You won't be disappointed.

No matter what time you visit Vili's its always busy. They offer so much variety and its at decent prices as well. The food is tasty and the cakes are so yummy! Staff are always friendly as well. Parking can be an issue when it is really busy though.

verified email - 11 Aug 2013

Fantastic cafe! I love the pie floater they make and think it's really cool how they write Vili's on the top with tomato sauce! Love their chips and gravy too. Always leave with a choccie donut or a chocolate éclair, simply too good to say no! Bit hectic sometimes and hard to get a seat, but for such a great place it's to be expected.

Zen23 11 Aug 2013

i love this place... especially the environment =)

We go to Cafe De Vilis on a regular basis. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Accommodating to individual needs as we travel a fair way to be able to purchase their products. They are always busy and are open 24/7. The one thing that isn't so great is the parking. Due to the fact that they are always so busy, it can be difficult to get a park. All in all, Cafe De Vilis is more than just a bakery. They have the best donuts and even offer excellent quality eat in meals. Highly recommend.

Tong 11 Aug 2013

Will head there now :)

verified email - 13 Jun 2013

Best chips and gravy in Adelaide! Service can sometimes be a bit rushed, but with how busy it gets thats to be expected. Food is always fresh and yum! Can sometimes be hard to get a seat in peak hours and there is no cue as such, everyone just stands around.

Approximate cost: $6.00

Brilliant place , decor and atmosphere is beautiful.i always come here for a catchup with friends. The service is fast and staff are always friendly. Makes the best coffees and small snacks. However not many seats so more suitable for a fast coffee,as the cafe is very fast paced. Prices are a bit expensive though

Approximate cost: $15

Delicious meals, snacks, desserts and drinks 24/7. This place has everything you could ever crave at any time of day and is always open for your needs. I love the old charm of the place, the massive range of delicious desserts and sweets and the friendly old ladies who are always happy to serve you.

Thank you for sharing your review of Cafe DeVilis. I have driven past here hundreds of times and always wondered what it is like but have yet to actually try it! The picture you described is completely different than I imagined! Many thanks!

My kids and I love this place. We tend to go earlier in the evening with the boys so its not too busy but there are always people around. Service is friendly and very helpful when the kids are always unsure of what to try next. Definitely worth visiting if you ve never been they have hot chips, pies, pasties, cakes and my kids favorite are the milkshakes that are huge!

Cafe de Vili's is a must-attend for both Adelaideans and visitors. The cafe is open 24hours and day - I've been here at all times of day and night and it never disappoints.

You can get all Vili's fare here - pies, pasties, sausage rolls etc, as well as the cakies - donuts, ... mmm well I never look past the donuts but I'm sure Vili's make other cakes :)

There's also a limited range of other food on the menu as well - sandwiches and rolls if you want to be a bit healthier - though the fun of coming to Vili's cafe is splurging on the yummy stuff.

It's hard to pinpoint an actual time when it's not extremely packed - it is quite often just chockers, but thankfully it's always well staffed and you don't have to wait too long even when they're at capacity. I've also always been able to find a park, which is some kind of miracle!

The decor etc is nothing to write home about, but the atmosphere creates itself when you're there and part of a little bit of unique Adelaide culture.

If you live here and haven't been yet, you really need to make the time to go. It's fun to come as a family or even just as a couple or with friends.

Approximate cost: $7.00
