I fly with virgin heaps,I've never had a problem with them.the flights are always cheap,on time and easy flights.the flight attendants have always been helpful and pleasant,the food they sell inboard is always good and not too expensive either.i will keep flying with virgin,or jet star.

My family and I used Virgin to fly to New Zealand in January 2013 and I may never fly with them again. There was a problem with our plane that caused us to be delayed in the airport for twelve hours. At least they got us a new plane so it was safe and they did give us good vouchers to get food during the long wait at the airport.

That's a shame. I always try to use Virgin over Qantas when flying as I find them friendlier and am hardly delayed. Hopefully, if you do choose them again, you will have a better experience :)

i would be extremely disappointed for the delay, but at least they tried to make up for it with vouchers.

I went with my family over to New Zealand last year and we used the airline Virgin. I was found the trip Quite squished and uncomfortable, someof the staff on board were not so welcoming. Although one man was! He was so nice and helpfull. overall it was an okay experiance but it could have been a lot better.

A Miracle ! A company who actually seek to learn from and address complaints. Hats off to John Borgetti. You can actually call head office and get a response...unlike many whom hide any actual way to contact them.

I recently used virgin on the way back from a trip..the way up i used a different airline. I found virgin just that little better for short cheap flights. I find you have more room in seating, alittle more comfy. I really liked that the airline offered FREE coffee,tea,water on flight..thats something different and nice. The price i paid for this flight compared to going up with a different airline wasnt that much...pretty much the same.

Waiting time was good, didnt wait long. MAIN points about this airline are: More leg room (compared to other cheap short flights airlines within AU), short waiting time, clean,friendly and cheap!

Would most likely prefer this airline for my next short distance flights.

I agree with the service and the rewards program is good too however whenever I have used them I often experience delays or cancellations which is frustrating

I know free water,coffee or tea isnt that big but i think these small things do count to a nice easy flight. As for waiting or cancellations...well i guess you get that with all airlines? cant help weather ect.

Virgin have recently improved their services on their sydney to perth haul. not sure if this is the same for all other flights but they now provide food and drinks included in the sale fare.
Will always fly with virgin over the competitiors especially between perth and sydney

I have flown quite a bit in the last few years and I have to say that Virgin cabin crew are just lovely. I have a son that's just turned two whom has just flown his sixteenth time and each time with Virgin, they we're unbelievably attentive. My only qualm is with the service staff at the desk of Virgin Melbourne. They seem to be void of any customer service logic. I flew with them again last month and was advised that they wouldn't take my Childs suitcase as check in despite having done it every other time as they had a new rule where even if my luggage was under the paid for 23kilos, if it was more than one bag, I couldn't take it or would have to gale it on the plane. So to make it clear, I had paid for 23kilos. I had split that into two bags, my sons and my own. But they decided they would rather watch me struggle with a baby, laptop, backpack, baby bag and Childs suitcase. When the cabin crew saw me, they rushed to my assistance disgusted with my treatment. They tried their best to assist me in and out of the plane and I had someone meet me at the plane to help me carry my bags to baggage in which I then had a baggage handler help me take my bags to pick up. They we're wonderful! They said the same thing, they continuously have issues with the Melbourne desk staff. I've personally had an issue every time I've flown with them. Be it snide comments or just plain rudeness.

Other than that, Virgin really is a great airline. Most of the planes are quite modern and depending on the plane, many have personal TV's at no extra cost and seats that are much more comfortable. They also offer snacks in some flights and tea and coffee in all of them.

i have flown with these guys several times brisbane to rockhampton and have always paid around the same price for the flight. it takes one hour to fly there and the food is great , the staff on board are so helpfull in flight . i have never had problems with delays so thats another plus for this company

We experienced an hour flight delay with Virgin Australia but they handled the situation professionally and informed the passengers well about the situation. I love their air bus, it is all modern, clean and really comfortable. They offer free of charge baggages for travelling parents with children (which I took advantage of bringing the portable cotts of my twins). That was really helpful.
