We were really appalled at the most terrible meal we had last night. We ordered fisherman's basket!
Little fish all really fatty and dry batter. Batter was thick and hard. Chips were over cooked and small salad that tasted like it had been sitting made for some time....
We asked what the fish was and the obviously new waitress said
"Its just regular fish".
We had been to wantirna hill before covid ... had the fisherman's basket and it was ok
The people on the next table we not too happy with their meal either..
Very very disappointed...
For over 30 a meal terrible

Good place, went for poker on Monday, had two meals - parmas, made very well, no complaints, good mushroom sauce and lots of it. The poker game was very fun and easy for beginners

We have been dining at the club for some years now and find it quiet and relaxing, the food is good and the staff are very attentive. It is also a great place for familys to meet and not have to be rushed out the door when you have finished your meal

I come here at least once a month, usually for lunch. it's pretty quiet over lunch, so service is great and the food comes out quickly. It's self service, order at the counter and bar.
I've only had one bad meal here, and the manager replaced it quickly for me. the pastas are fantastic, as are the parmigianas- several types are available.
Atmosphere is what you'd expect from a pokies venue, but the restaurant is smallish so still is quite nice.

We meet friends here regularly for dinner mid-week. The menu is huge .. really good range, and the quality is excellent. The restaurant area is far enough away and around a corner from the pokies so they don't intrude (you wouldn't really know they were there). Affordable meals are made more affordable using the 'Buy 1 get 1 free' dockets from the back of Coles dockets, and they are also in the Entertainment book.

This venue has a great menu & good variety, however the food is of a cheap quality & could be improved. The menu makes the food sound very nice but a big disappointment when the food arrived. My parents bragged about this place but they also were disappointed & couldn't believe the change.

Myself and my wife dine here regularly. The food is always good. The staff are friendly and attentive and the menu is varied in both content and price.
We believe this establishment to be consistently good and detect no variations in its standards.

We've been dining here nearly every weekend for the past 5years.
Great service & great bistro meals. Very friendly staff!
Good for families, though there's no 'games area' for the kids, so they need to entertain themselves.

The food has changed and gone down hill. The vegies are frozen and very poor quality. The steaks and parma's have also changed & very bland tasting. The lady behind the register on a Friday night is rude and has no customer service skills. The only up side about this venue is they have recently renovated & decor is nice, but I would rather the food be the way it once was.

We are frequent visitors to the wantirna hill club after a friend put us on to it a while back. Staff are fantastic, greeting us by name and remembering our drink orders after our second visit. Meals are fantastic and very reasonably priced. Very good, prompt service with excellent staff. Best venue in the area by far!

I have been here for a wedding, a 21st and also just a couple of sunday sessions, i have never been disappointed. With $5 parmas on a Sunday you can't really complain. Food is always of good standard and the bar staff are always chatty and happy. It's a great family pub, they always welcome children and accommodate to them well.

We eat at Wantirna Hill Club quite a bit as they often have a 'second meal for $3' shop-a-docket on our grocery receipts and it's close to home. Decor is nice, food is great and service always polite and friendly. This place can be busy so not a bad idea to book ahead. Could do with some more vegetarian menu options, but otherwise for my meat eating partner there is much to choose from.

We weren't greeted at the door, but once inside, what a great experience. We used the shop a docket offer too and the food was cooked to perfection. Plus parking is easy and the whole place has a real country feel about it.

No one was at the door when we arrived for lunch. The waitress was friendly but feigned her interest in us. We then again had to wait at the register. Despite that our meals were delivered promptly. The meals were to die for! We had the Salmon and a parma. Absolutely fantastic! What made up for our friendy yet dreary waitress were the chefs who were singing and laughing and even acknowledged us with bright smiles. Been at the venue before and hated the food but now absolutely LOVE it. Will return for more of the food and the singing chefs!!!

I arrived at the venue whilst quite busy and was very happy to be greeted by a lovely older lady, Marcia. Even though busy I was promptly seated within a short period.
I have not visited for a while and was greatly impressed by the new decor, friendly environment and new menu.
Our meals were great and will be back.
Congrats to all on there fantastic improvements and fantastic new attitude.

The Wantirna Hill Club is very much like a tavern. You can play pokies there or get a meal to eat. I found it to be just like any other tavern but would still go there for a drink.

We had a group of approx 10 people who gathered there for dinner on Saturdy night and it was not a busy night either, we all ordered together and were expecting our meals to arrive about the same time, after some time some entree's came out as well as some main meals, at the same time, then some ones entree and main came at the same time (This firt bit of service was after 1 hour) and one poor couple were waiting approx 2 hours and had not even got their entree, mind you all this with no explanation initialy, just left us waiting. Very poor service

Went for a Chicken Parma and vegies - in the Bar as its the same meal and much cheaper than the Bistro. Friends had roast of the day in the Bar. If you dont have kids with you its a very cheap way to eat a good meal.

The Wantirna Hill Club have a pretty good menu at reasonable prices. Even more appealing is the shop-a-dockets to buy one meal and get a second meal for only $2 - bargain! The venue is decent, there is a bar area, function area and TAB. Good local spot with excellent daily meal specials at excellent prices.
