Wasai is definitely one of the must eat japanese places in Adelaide. The customer service here is always exceptional. It is usually always jam packed, even on normal weekdays, so i recommend calling up beforehand to book a table. If going in group of 4+ people, i recommend getting the banquet meal (approx $28 per person) as there is a great variety of choices and dishes to try. Wasai makes arguably the best soba salad and aburi salmon sushi in adelaide, thus i would highly recommend those dishes.

We went to Wasai on a Friday night and it does not disappoint. Had a selection of entrees to start. The age-gyoza were very yummy and so was the karaage! I had a hot pot for mains which was perfect for the cold weather! The service was excellent and make sure you book a table as they get very busy!!

This place is simply amazing. The Tori Mayonnaise is to die for. You generally need a booking to get in, but it is worth it. The sushi is very good, and if you get the boat, it is pretty cool. The service is good. We went there for a birthday, and they put the cake in the fridge for us, and kept it hidden until we wanted it revealed. We had a great experience, and the food is amazing.

I love going to this place whenever i feel like having Japanese. meals. First of all, the staffs is friendly and the food is consistent in terms of portion, flavours etc. I love the Jigoku Ramen and I would recommend you to try this if you love noodle. Their sashimi is quite fresh as well.

This place is a favourite. Do book ahead, because I've tried to do the walk-in with friends and been turned away, they get full quickly.

I've had friends who've lived in Japan debate over its' authenticity but who knows, perhaps they were just showing off.

I DO know that this place has amazing word of mouth because it makes EVERYONE happy, the food is amazing.

The chicken with Tori Mayonnaise, the angus beef and the crispy skin salmon are just delicious, and all of the entrees are brilliant, especially the Karaage. Also: no matter how full you are, you HAVE to eat some green tea icecream. It sounds odd but tastes amazing!

Ps: can anyone that's lived in Japan put its' authenticity into context? :-)

My favourite is the rice dish with eel, delicious! There dessert range is also yummy! A tip: always book your table, just in case it's packed!

One of the fine Japanese restaurants in town, fantastic and delicate in their food making, it always looks like a piece of art. Went there for a banquet and discovered that there is a large amount of high quality food, with a wide range of selection.

It didn't have as much variety I would expect from this new restaurant compared to Genki which were previously there. The service was friendly and we didn't wait long for the food to come out..
