We used this company to go from Melbourne to Tasmania. The guys from the Melbourne end were fantastic and told us that our furniture should be in Hobart by the time we arrive. Which it was. The guys who delivered the furniture though were rough and broke a leg on my dining chair and also a very large crack in my dining table. Was not impressed they said that it must have been the guys in Melbourne when they packed it. We know this was not true as my Husband helped them pack the truck up.
when then used them when we came back to melbourne and the truck wrecked our drive away to which they didn't say sorry for. They scratched a few of the tiles in the property and didn't use a trolley to lift the heavy items such as the fridge and washing machine. They rushed through packing up the truck.
When we wanted our stuff delivered to our new home in Melbourne they got only ONE guy to deliver the furniture. So he needed help They didn't send 2 guys like it was quoted they would. They were meant to deliver the furniture between 7AM-8AM they didn't show up so i had to call them and ask where my furniture was. Again our new table we had brought in Tasmania after the other one not being useable because of watkins. I get my new table and chairs and you wouldnt believe it all the chair legs are broken. I am not impressed.
The Invermay office over charges on quotes unlike the hobart office.

I would never recommend this company to anyone.!

Hi Mummy234, thanks for a well written, detailed review. Unbeknown to many, it is unnecessary to pay extra for insurance, as Victorian law offers adequate coverage. In order to gain compensation, you would first need to contact the company (in writing, via registered post) with a list of damages and then, if they refuse to offer adequate compensation (which is usually the case), proceed to the Small Claims Tribunal. The process may be somewhat time consuming but the justice is well worth it in the end. Incidentally, if the company in question complains about your review, we strongly recommend working with WOMO to ensure that your review remains active, as it is vital that ‘negative’ reviews remain accessible. After all, a rating website that only displays ‘positive’ reviews is utterly impotent. Best Wishes, Reeces
