i use to go to the waves when i was younger to cool off in the summer.. there are saunas and different swimming areas, and food to buy and lockers for personal needs, and a parking lot at the front.

Overpriced aquatic membership.
Fitness Instructors need a personality and knowledge of what they are teaching and not be a He-Man walking around in a muscle top teaching a Aqua Class.

Pool can very dirty on occasions

Positives - the life guards are always helpful and do a good job.

Great place to relax, hardly any noisy shool children running around unlike the other one in bentleigh. nice space and plenty of parking available, best of all the sauna had no one in there and i could enjoy it all by myself

I go here to swim my laps when I get a chance. some times too hectic & can't get a free lane to swim in. The kids (staff) are helpful. Handy having a café their, but a bit too tempting if I take the kids. The wave pool is lots of fun

As a swim school, we are very impressed with the instructors. They have helped our little one get over his fear of the water and develop his skills.

This pool is a great place is fun for both the young and old. There are a variety of pools including kiddie pools, an olympic size pool and a wave pool! Waves come every 30 minutes so you can be sure to have a good time.

In the big pool however, the lanes are often occupied by swimming lessons and the other lanes are for slow, medium and fast swimmers. Sometimes I prefer to just splash around and would like for there to be a recreational lane all the time.

The changerooms are clean and spacious and the lockers are secure for a small fee. There's also a small cafè for when you get hungry.

Approximate cost: $5.00

I have been coming here for 8 years and use the spa pool and spa on a regular basis . There is a constant problem with both the spa and sauna with dirt under the seats and glass , the spa is often out of action meaning membership is often not getting full value The staff are supposed to be responsible for this but are often more interested talking to themselves than keeping the cleaning up to scratch and this definitely means the changerooms that have a smell all to thier own . The main pool and waves are of value but when the new Glen Eira complex in Bentliegh opens the will have to lift their game or lose a lot of customers

Approximate cost: $210 ( 3 mth )

As a swim centre it is fine but as a swim school it is less than average. Instructors are changed often and it is inconsistent. We have had 3-4 years of lessons here with virtually no progress. Young instructors are too busy chatting to one another over the lanes rather than checking student's progress or correcting their stroke.

A great place to go to relax, entry is pretty cheap and you can stay from opening to close, with a wave session every 15 minutes in the wave pool you are never bored

Approximate cost: $5

This place is an absolute joke! I go here quite regularly and have never been told that my 4 year old has to be accompanied by an adult in the water. time and time again we go there without a problem, then today I get told that she isnt allowed in any pool un accompanied. The only pool she could go in was the baby ppol with about 20 cm of water in it. I understand the rule, I have no problem with it - but there needs to be a consistency with enforcing these rules! I have been there 20+ times and never told of this, but today apparently I was told this has been a rule for years. As well as this my 10 year old was constantly harassed by the staff for not being allowed in the big pool, even though the rules say 10 and over are allowed in that pool. In the end I had 2 kids in tears from being told off all the time, so wevhad to leave. There seems to be way too many over-zealous staff there , with absolutely no customer service skills that are hell-bent on taking the fun out of the place! I understand there must be rules, and respect this, but this place is over the top! When the new GESAC opens in Bentleigh East these guys are going to go broke!! Additionally, their Cafe is insanely expensive, and staffed by equally grumpy people!!!

I have been a member here for over a year. The instructors are very friendly and down to earth. No pushy sales people. Great gym and access to the pools, spa etc is a great bonus!

My child has attended swim classes here for some time. The facilities are great with a wave pool, toddler pools, shallow learn to swim pools and a lap pool. There's a gym, creche, spa and sauna too, but I have not used those facilities yet. The change rooms are ordinary and usually crowded when I attend, but are adequate. I've found the swim classes OK, but are a little impersonal. The teachers are under great pressure to get them in and out within the half hour, so the next class in not running late. There are 4 kids to 1 teacher. That might be standard to all swim schools (not sure). I wish it were 3 kids to 1 teacher. I continue there mainly due to the great value of being able to swim after wards with my son in the wave pool etc.

The lessons are very well structured with amazing teachers. The change rooms aren't very clean and usually have pieces of rubbish on them, because of children.

I was a gym member here for about 1 1/2 years but has to stop because we moved out of the area and was too far to continue. The gym membership included unlimited use of the swim/spa areas. I really enjoyed working out in their gym. While the gym area is quite small (the centre is more used for the pools) it was not usually difficult to get the machines you wanted. However, because of the small size, the different types of machines were limited. The one really great thing I liked about the gym was having a personal trainer always there to answer your questions and you were always able to organize a session with someone to get a program set. After a workout I usually went into the spa area, sat in the whirlpool and sauna. Ahh! Relaxation at it's best.

Approximate cost: $78/month max (various prices)
