As an ex-member of this venue (due to lacking customer service) I returned today to see how the "new and improved" gym stacked up. Unfortunately it was far from impressive.

The gym is suited mainly to cardio style workouts and will not suit anyone looking for heavy/varied resistance training.

The pools are now closed and the parking is even more limited than before.

Their weekly direct debit membership price is on par with most of the other local gyms, but they are not open 24/7 like the others.

All in all it's not worth the time of day until the pools are finished, which they say will be at least another 18 months. Even then they will probably be still pretty restrictive due to the high prices.

Approximate cost: $11.00 pw

Hi JonesyAU, appreciated the attention to detail, as always. Sounds like it would have been appropriate for the business in question to offer discounts until the venue’s modifications have been completed. Thanks for the heads-up! Reeces

Each time I've visited the centre for an event it's been quite a pleasant experience - the big room is huge and just right for the craft sales etc or conferences, although a little boomy. The smaller rooms can get a little hot. Toilets are okay. Car parking facilities have been expanded as they were very small previously.

And afterward you can always go across the road to the Werribee Plaza shopping centre for a bit of retail therapy.

The pool area was in need of a re-vamp and it is going to be redeveloped into a much more attractive and modern facility and hopefully will get rid of all the problems mentioned before - the borderline cleanliness etc. The proposal looks amazing with two waterslides - it was great to have this swimming opportunity in this area but I can't wait to use the new facilities.

When ever i visited the place, welcomed with good greetings from receptionists. Prices are much higher event rooms are very great and big enough for large parties. Swimming area is very good and my kids love to go and a lots of fun for kids. But family change rooms were terrible smelly and dirty no toilets in the rooms which was a big problem for parent with kids. a hard chlorine smell and very harm overall experience is average.

Every time we have visited this place its dirty! Changing rooms are disgusting especially the family rooms, which usually have broken shower head with water spirting out in all directions. Find it disgusting how they let people in with clothes on - long shorts and tops, its a swimming pool you should have swimmers on! Also the amount of sand and crime and dirt thats at the bottom of the pool and at water level is just grose! But where else can you go for a family swim!

The receptionists are kind of rude. 3 of them behind the desk try to ignore me after I said a laud "Hello". It happened 4 times.
I made an inquiry on the phone, they never returned my call.
So customer service is bad. However the facility is good and very much needed in the area. Always full and busy.
I found the change rooms and toilets dirty.
A center with such a huge amount of turnover of people need more cleaning staff.

thanks for being so honest! that's a bit disappointing hey

Hi Katica11, thanks for the detailed comments. Given that it costs a business the same amount of money to employ polite, friendly and professional staff, one can only wonder how/why the ignorant retain employment. In our opinion, there is absolutely ‘no’ excuse for an unprofessional level of customer service. Nor is there any legitimate excuse for a businesses consistent lack of hygiene. Thanks for the heads-up! Reeces

find the pricing a bit expensive, customer service is ok - they reply to your email if it is not a too hard question but when you inquire about money and your membership your email is ignored, i am trying to cancel as i want to find another gym, not happy with this one

Approximate cost: $17 pw

Go to in balance fitness, only $10 per week for gym or classes. They have a fab creche and the people are fab. No pool though!

Hi VickyJ, thanks for the heads-up. Ditto my above comments; there is never any excuse for an unprofessional level of customer service. We hope you were able to successfully cancel your membership and find a more suitable gym. Regards, Reeces

A nice clean pool with lots of options. The aqua and pilates classes are excellent although at around $10 a class they can get a bit pricey. It gets very busy and loud and the chlorine smell is hard to handle.

Approximate cost: $5

Being a lap swimmer this pool is very frustrating. Not wanting a 25m pool this would seem the place to come. Unfortunately the 50m pool is divided into two 25m pools most of the time. There are a few hours in the week when you can swim 50 but thats it.

Great swimming pool facilities here, all indoors. 50 metre multi-lane pool, large kiddie pool with shallow and medium depths, hydrotherapy pool, spa, sauna. Very clean, lots of change rooms and several private "family change rooms" with room for parents and kids to get showered and dressed

Approximate cost: $5
