Zapata's Mexican Restaurant

We've been eating at Zapatas for years and loving it! I'm the type of person that orders the same meal every time because I know it will be good but not here! I know that regardless of what I order, it'll be sensational! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the best Mexican meals in Adelaide!

This is as unbiased an opinion as one can give after a pitcher of margharitas, but this is a great Mexican restaurant! Really fast service, delicious food (although nothing you could describe as diet friendly). Great drinks menu! So good that I really don't remember much more :S

Went here for the first time in about 6 years, and I must say, I wish I had returned to the restaurant sooner! Not only was the food and drinks delicious, the service was polite, attentive, but not too pushy. It was a filled Friday night, yet we were not forgotten about, nor pushed out the restaurant. Thank you for an excellent night.

Was really in the mood for some Mexican so after a friend told me about this restaurant we decided to go for dinner with a small group of friends. Really liked the look of this restaurant, the only dowside was that there isn't enough room on the tables especially if you are sharing your meals. The servings are huge, delicious and well presented ( believe me, I am not complaining about the serving size) it's just with your plates, and sharing meals in the center of the table, there is barely any room for your drinks.
Besides that, we all decided to order some nachos to share, I cannot express how good they were, not to mention the EL Bandido - which is a combination of enchiladas, tacos, chilli etc. As for the Fajitas, well what can I say, SENSATIONAL! Everything arrrived at the table piping hot, looking fabulous and tasting great and all delivered with a friendly smile. A really great atmosphere, we felt like we were in mexico.
This is one Mexican restaurant we will be returning to. Make sure you book because they do get busy and you wouldn't want to miss out. Pricing a bit high, but you certainly get what you pay for, well worth it.

Had a fantastic selection of mexican cuisine! The waiting staff was a bit uneven with some employees being magnificent and friendly and one or two being quite cold towards us. The food came out promptly and was delicious! The only downside was that the fajita's were a bit on the mild side and didn't have a chilli kick which is expected of them. The chimichanga was spectacular! Would definitely recommend!

Went there with two friends from England last month. the place was packed!! we ordered the chief's specials and it was sooo nice. The quantity was way too much and none of us has finished our plates.
Only one let down is the place was so small and we could barely fit our plates on the table.

I LOVE this restaurant. Best Mexican place in Adelaide, in my opinion. The service is great and the food is AMAZING! I always have a hard time deciding what to have. We go there all the time and now we have a daughter their menu has her favourite 'nuggets and chips" or wedges.

We had take away and had the favoured nachos and it was stunning shared and still had some left over. The freshness of all ingredients was great and the overall flavour very authentic

We love having the nachos to start with here and then we order a couple of other dishes to share. There is a lot to choose from. We top all this off with the margaritas which are to die for.

Zapatas has a nice vibe, it was relaxing and pleasant, never been here before, we just happened to be in North Adelaide and were hungry. A very nice alternative to pub and bar food and I recommend Zapatas to anyone.

Zapata's has got a nice ambiance, amazingly good food and a nice wait staff. There are a few vegetarian choices for me, I get either the Sin Carne or Fajitas, and both are always delicious. It never looks like a lot of food is on the plate, but I always leave feeling full, not over-stuffed.

Went looking for some fresh Mexican and margaritas and was not disappointed. This is not like your normal Mexican restaurant. I ordered the Chilli Colorado and it was excellent. The other dish while still good was not up to the same level. The most outstanding part however was the guacamole and the hot sauce we got on the side. Food portions were perfect and they had a pretty good selection of drinks.

A nice place with its own charisma, it's definitively worth the look if you want something different and have a sweet spot for authentic Mexican food. The value for money and quality of the food has always been good and the various entrée's, mains and other dishes and selections of drinks is great. Highly recommend Zapata's

The service is very friendly and helpful, staff members are always smiling and laughing and are always prompt. The nacho's are fantastic, the main meals are a bit hit and miss, find some of the meals turn out to be very similar, although I think that is Mexican food in general. A nice venue and for bigger tables they number each seat so you can each pay seperately which is nice touch.

unlike the other comments for Zapata's, every time Ive got there, the service has been fantastic, they even gave me a free shot of cordial when I got the hiccups lol.
the food is amazing, and the only place to get a chimmichunga. pretty much everyone that visits the restaurant ends up ordering one, its better than most of the Mexican restaurants in Adelaide and such a pretty place to go.

Great atmosphere - quick service although the table manner is a little lacking - BUT the nachos are fantastic!

Food here is great but service is a bit lacking! I think they should put quesadillas on their menu though

The best Mexican food around but very bad customer service! They do not have great table manners and seem to get frustrated quickly with customers with alot of question just seem grumpy but I have to say they have the best Nacho's in town!!

Fantastic service, atmosphere and the food.. DELICIOUS! The food is always fresh and arrives promptly to your table with a warm smile from any of the staff. I can definately recommend trying one of their yummy cocktails or mocktails, the freshly juiced fruit they use really make the difference. If I was allowed I would eat there on a weekly basis!

Great food, great service. Tried all the Mexican Restaurants and like this one the best. Have eaten here on my own, with friends and for celebrations and never have been disappointed. Love their Nachos and Fajitas!

Another family favourite, we have celebrated many a birthday here! Yummy food, great atmosphere, lovely margheritas and the prices are very reasonable. A+ experience

A quaint little restaurant located on Melbourne St Nth Adelaide. Food is absolutely delicious with a generous proportion. Highly recommended going with either on a date or with friends and family.

Best mexican in Adelaide without a doubt!
Love the chicken fajitas, nachos and sangria. The decor is very fitting for a mexican restaurant and it makes it a fun place to visit.

Location on Melbourne street, this little cozy restaurant is great for any occasion. The staff are friendly, you pick where you sit (don't need a reservation), meals are good-size (great selection) and delicious. They also take Entertainment book. yay
