This is a fantastic little club. We had a function there recently, with great service, good food, and had a great time. We were really well looked after.

I'm a new 4WD owner, and needed to pick up a few bits and pieces before heading off road. Obviously the sky is the limit with these sorts of things, but I was on a pretty tight budget.

The guys here were friendly, helpful, and took plenty of time to explain and offer their advice. They were never out to sell you the most expensive item, and did their best to find you something that suited your needs/price point. I'll be going back there again for future purchases.

These guys are quick, and really friendly. Their food was delicious! It seemed a little over priced, but that seems to be the case in this area.

Good iconic pub in a great location under the Story bridge. Great steaks, although a little expensive for pub prices. Always plenty of staff, never a long wait for a beer.

When we moved to Brisbane, everyone said that this pub is a dive. To be honest I think it's a great local.

The front bar is a typical tradies bar, but perfect for a bet, some pool or darts.

The back area is actually really nice, cool in summer and has decent tunes.

The bar food menu is amazing value, and you can eat that inside or out the back. The menu out the back is a little bit on the pricey side, but for the most part it is good quality food. Out of a group of 5 of us, the only average meal was a Caesar salad, who's chicken was overcooked and dry. Otherwise the meals were large, tasty and filling.

The service is pretty good, although they are a little understaffed at times when it's busy.

Approximate cost: $12-25

This review is for Gabba Car Spa Cafe, Kangaroo Point QLD

Have taken the car there twice, an they've done a pretty good job. Gets pretty busy on weekends so get there early. They have two free computers to pass the time, but for some unknown reason they don't have Wifi.

I have a 4WD, and they are always reasonable about the extra charge, it always seems to be a bit less than I expect.

I'll definitely keep going here to get my car washed.

I moved to Brisbane recently with a newly bought used car that had a few problems. Steve and his guys are really helpful and dont rip you off.

Another advantage is that it is part of a BP service station that is open 24 hours, so you can drop the car and keys in at any time of day and pick them up once you get home from work.

This review is for Subway, East Brisbane QLD

I love Subway, so I may be a little biased, but this Subway is one of the best i've been to in Brisbane. Both times i've been there's been no queue, the staff actually listen to what you say, and most importantly, they didn't overdo the sauce!

I wish they'd keep $7 chicken fillet foot longs forever!

Approximate cost: $7

This review is for Spoon, East Brisbane QLD

I like the layout of Spoon in East Brisbane, and it's great that it's there, as there is not a lot of cafes in the area.

Their coffee's a pretty good and come out pretty fast.

Their cakes and slices are all pretty tasty.

I've only eaten there once, for breakfast, and the "Big breakfast" was a little disappointing. The eggs were well poached, but the rest of it was all fairly bland. The milkshake I had as well tasted sugary and wasn't brilliant.

I'll keep getting coffee's from there, but I think the food is a bit overpriced for what it is and i'll stick to making breakfast at home.

This review is for IGA, East Brisbane QLD

This IGA is our local supermarket. It's open late and on public holidays, they have good produce, and a great deli section. For a small supermarket there's rarely a time I can't find what I want.

They are a little more expensive than larger supermarkets, although you do occasionally find random products that are a lot cheaper.

The biggest attraction though is their staff. I have never met a more consistently helpful and friendly team at any other supermarket. If you look lost for a second, there is always someone nearby offering help.
