The ultimate "No Can Do" store. No, No, No, is what you'll hear. I feel for the sales staff, who seem to change very frequently (I wonder why?). They seem to want to accommodate their customer, but they have zero authority, zero leeway, and need to run to a rigid, obstinate management who's only answer is, "NO, we can't do that". And I'm not talking about big or unreasonable requests. Other furniture retailers have helpfully offered to accommodate the same things, even before being asked. It seems that Focus is focused on pigheaded unhelpfulness; certainly not on making life easier for their staff or their customers. Three times was enough. We won't waste our time going back again.

Ben and Josh provide everything that equals the highest level of customer service. They're efficient, friendly, polite, punctual, provide top advice that's easy to understand, have good rates and a fantastic very accommodating 'can do' attitude. And they'll go out of their way to do whatever they possibly can if you have an emergency. We're return customers, and will keep on returning without hesitation. BBC is a real find!

[redacted personal identifier] claims to take a lot of pride in what he does. Everyone is horrified when they see our photographic evidence of just how low he sets his standards. He's a one man show who gets ok reviews, probably thanks to reasonable sub-contractors doing that work. His own workmanship is apparently never his fault; he seemed to have a fondness for blaming other factors or people instead.

He removed a load bearing wall without any engineering, and got caught out. Lucky we checked. His non-compliant attempt was under-dimensioned. He was forced to consult an engineer. 3 strutting beams later he got it right.

We experienced pathetic project management, unclear & incomplete communication. He wasted our time, and the subbies'.

He used our yard like a tip, and 'built'/butchered some things from bits of scrap.

On the other hand, Nu Image Homes are amazingly efficient at issuing invoices. We were even hassled for money, twice within 3 hours, for an invoice issued only 24hrs previously, for an amount we weren't contractually obliged to pay anyway, but thoughtfully agreed to do so. It was a mistake. Any consideration and thoughtfulness was a one way street. The frustration and inconvenience caused by sheer incompetence seemed to go on and on and on.

We feel there's no way this guy should hold a builder's licence. If you want a professional, we suggest going somewhere else. If you want what we saw to be an over-priced cowboy constantly trying to pull the wool over our eyes, give him a call.

Just plain rude, and argumentative. As other reviews indicate, the tradespeople may be good at fixing sliding door rollers ... but the office staff are absolutely dreadful. Go elsewhere if you need anything more advanced, let alone customer service with a smile, and respect. We took thousands of dollars elsewhere because they were just SO bad!

I've been a loyal customer of BB for many years. Pls be aware of pricing extortion. A staff member explained that if you do not return for treatment within the timeframe they determine, you're charged as a "First Visit", appox 10+% more. Basically, if you don't go as often as BB dictates, it'll cost you more, regardless of your loyalty, regardless of the fact you've been 100's of time before, it'll be charged as your "First Visit". 11 weeks is not frequent enough. I understand 9 weeks isn't either. None of this is revealed up front to the client. Check your receipts to see if you've been a victim of extortion.
