This place is reasonable. It is clean and the service is decent. I've found the booking process to generally be quite simple and I haven't found it to be overcrowded. Nice atmosphere for a casual get together.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon. We had a group booking (8 people), but it was very crowded (and there were lots of young children running around - be careful not to step on any!). Prices were fairly reasonable, although I have been to more spacious, well equipped rock climbing venues who charge the same. The climbing walls are situated inside a large shed. The lockers are the type where you have to insert $1, and you lose your dollar each time you want to open the locker - silly if you want to store your drink in there, which you need to becuase there's really nowhere else to put it. The walls could be labelled more clearly, and there needs to be more climbs at about grade 10-12.

Promoted as a "Retro" bowling alley, Rosemount Bowl does have some pretty cool fluoros and blacklights, creating a party feel. The building is old however and stinks like a pub. I'm always scared of seeing seedy characters emerge from the pool & snooker rooms downstairs and everything has a dark, dingy feel to it - not somewhere I'd enjoy taking little kids.

Adventure World is perfect for ages 3-12. It's not cheap to get in (see web site for prices) and it's a fair way to drive if you don't live south of the river. The lines are long if you go on the weekend, a public holiday or during school holidays, and there isn't enough shade to wait in. They have built newer rides in the last few years - if these are open I feel like I've gotten my moneys worth but if they are closed, there are not a lot of exhilarating experiences to be had.

I went here with a friend for dinner mid-week. The service here was polite and helpful. Our mains arrived quickly. I had a fried rice dish, which was not as described on the menu but still quite nice. I felt it was a little overpriced for what it was, but not too much. I'm keen to try the other dishes here. BYO only.

I've had breakfast, lunch and coffee here. It is not cheap, but the quality of the food is good. I like their eggs benedict - cooked just right. The slices are priced well, it's a shame that the cakes are not. Service can be quite slow when the cafe is full.

Friends say the meals here are delicious (they are BYO only for dinner and there's a bottle shop nearby). I've been here for coffee at least ten times now and am always impressed. The decor is funky and there are couches to sit on and read the paper. The staff are very friendly. The name came after the owners revamped this cafe when it burnt down.

The food here is really nice. The service is usually not so good though - there seems to be a high turnover of staff (employing a lot of backpackers, I think). I ordered paneer three times and it never came and the waiter could not explain why. Our curries took 90 minutes to arrive (which we didn't mind so much, although we were almost chewing our arms off, but I believe this is Indian tradition). They've added internet stations in one corner, detracting from the buzzing ambience this place otherwise has.

I am ADDICTED to the salads here for lunch, you can get a big plate of substantial salad choices for around $12. They also do awesome continental rolls which are packed full of goodies and made fresh on the spot (they even have baby octopus rolls). If you feel like something hot, there's often a couple of pasta choices. The coffee is good too.

I've had the nachos here for dinner, and a steak sandwich for lunch. Both were very good. The service however was slow and I had to order drinks twice. The view from the balcony over the ocean makes this a relaxing place to eat, and there are plenty of comfy places to sit.
