The food and drinks here are really good. I don't like the grungy back area, so that's a matter of personal taste. But I do like the front area, which has private booths that fit 4-6 people. You can also hire board games and they're open until really late.

I have been here for dinner a couple of times and also for coffee and cake. The views over the canal are beautiful. The food is good and portions are well sized, with a range of pub meal style options on the menu. The coffee is yum and the cake selection is extensive and well priced ($7 for a very large piece).

I've been here for coffee & cake a number of times. The service is interesting - you pay at the counter, then you wait in a line to collect your coffee. You must wait in front of your cup as it goes down the counter, otherwise chaos may ensue. The coffee is great (I'm not sure it's the best in Australia as their web site claims).

Just plain fantastic Italian food. Everything came out as described and the waiter was a genuine Italian! The chairs and tables are pretty simple, but this adds to the authenticity. The woodfired pizzas had fresh toppings and crispy bases. The pasta was homemade and cooked to perfection.

The quality of the food was great here - I went with a large group and not one person was unhappy with their meal. A range of different dishes and drinks available (and they do BYO wine as well). My sashimi was fresh and delicious and came out on a really funky plate. The decor is chic and the waitresses are all dressed matching (perhaps avoid wearing all red like I did!)

Good food, good service, busy but not overcrowded atmosphere. I was especially impressed with the crispness of the stir-fried vegetables, which were cooked just right.

I think this place offers some of the best value a la carte Japanese food around. I've been here for dinner a number of times and have been impressed with each dish I had - teriyaki, sushi and tempura. It's located in a commercial area, but it's tucked away from the road near some other restaurants and the interior is so nice you forget you're not in a chic location.

These are the BEST pies I have ever had - try the Beef Rendang, which is my favourite. The owner is a really pleasant man and the service is always fast and with a smile. The only problem is there is no coffee to go with it! The slices and pastries are good too, as are the fresh french rolls baked here. I believe this place isn't open on Sunday afternoons, I tried a couple of months ago at 1pm and it was shut.

I had the buffet breakfast here. The food was ok (no pancakes was my main complaint, also the bacon was a bit tough). I felt the prices were too expensive for the quality of food, but I find this to be common in restaurants that are situated inside hotels.

I love this place. I am continually impressed with the level of service and the quality of the food here. They do all sorts of Italian food including woodfired pizas and calzones, pasta and steaks. Book early as this place is booked up quickly!
