I stayed here for a romantic weekend with my girlfriend and i'm glad we did! We got a deal through one of the offers websites (very exy otherwise!) for 2 nights. We were met by the owners and had a nice chat before being shown our suite. Each suite has a two person spa which has views onto the valley below. The rooms are decorated extremely nicely with lots of natural wood which has been worked by the owner and artisan Randy Degraw (http://randywoodwork.com/randys_site/Welcome.html). The bed was super comfy and breakfast was served to us in the room the next morning which we enjoyed on our private balcony. We can't recommend this retreat highly enough!!!
I used these guys under the guise of Blue Rhino Removals who were bought out by Superstar (I later found out). I was moved by two chinese guys who's English was not great and who did not put the most effort into the move (the driver was on his L's!). I used to work as a removalist myself in Canada (Bekins) and QLD. The standard was way below what I have come to expect from removalists but then I guess you get what you pay for. They only padded the furniture once it was in the truck which I find unacceptable for certain items and they showed inexperience in moving some pieces (such as large sofas). I was also disappointed to find that the service was quoted ex GST which was never advised, meaning an extra $50 at the end of the move... not impressed. I will probably go back to doing my future moves myself, I would recommend using a more reputable firm or at least request an Aussie/English speaking crew.
The Burlesque Bar is a fun night out for the boys and girls! We got front row seats for the show and had a great time exchanging banter with the compère. The venue is very small so you are very close to the action which makes for some very funny awkward moments! Definitely worth a visit!!
This is one of the best outdoor paintball sites I have been to. Large areas in a forest setting with a river/lake in the middle. Extremely fun and fast paced games but it does get hot (being QLD), so many people play without the standard overalls. I loved the capture the base game played over the lake bridges, doing suicide runs over the bridges was great fun, if a little painful! Highly recommended paintball company!
This is the first indoor paintball centre I have been to and while I enjoyed it, it was limited due to size compared to an outdoor centre. The games were good, the wild west senario especially. Be prepared to get shot at close range in these indoor environments!! I would go to this centre again.
As the other reviewer said, this restaurant offers fantastic value for money in St Kilda. No frills set up but has a relaxed pub vibe, decent menu, big portions and service was quick and friendly.
I had probably the best steak i've ever had here and at $40 it wanted to be! Wagyu beef surrounded in spinach and puff pastry and it melted in the mouth!! It was very busy when we went (not surprising as the food is so good), maybe a little cramped and the waiter was a little flustered, but the ambience is good and the architecture is pretty cool. Probably a good place to take your girlfriend for a romantic dinner in summer!
This is a good hostel in a very good location, close to the town and beach. The accommodation we stayed in was basic (no aircon) but not the worst backpackers I have ever stayed in. Friendly staff and it was quiet at night when we stayed. Nice building and a good brekkie.
This restaurant sits right on the beach and is a great place for lunch or dinner! A definite place to visit if you are in Maroochydore and need a good value meal!
Good food, large portions (as you expect with an RSL/sporto) although the restaurant is not as up to date as some venues. Definitely good value for the area and nicer than Ringwood RSL.
