i went to Aamarpali Indian restaurant with a friend and her partner while i was holidaying in tassie 2 weeks ago. The restaurant is very small but has a real indian feel to it. It was very clean and well set out. I did find the food to be a little pricey. We ordered a tandori platter which cost $25 which we thought we could all share, we couldnt. it only had 6 little tandori bits on it. Next we ordered rogan josh, mild curry chicken and a hot curry chicken. the meals were small in size but that was ok as they were filling. The service was ok but the lady had a lot of trouble understanding our order and we had to repeat it a few times. All up our meals cost $125 which i thought was a bit hefty for what we got.

i started using the bus service just before Christmas when my car broke down and i had no way to get to town to do shopping. The 2 regular drivers are very nice and always willing to have a chat. The bus runs every hr and a half which is good as it gives you enough time to do what you need to do in town and be back at bus stop to catch bus back home. The thing i like the most about this bus is that it has seat belts on all seats which is good if you have children with you. It is really cheap to use as well, for people with concession it is $1.20 and for normal paying it is $2 which can be used for 2 hours. The buses are always very clean and tidy

while shopping at centro on the weekend i decided on trying something different in the food court other than the normal kfc/subway. So i decided on pasta resistance as i love anything italian. I was very disappointed in the food. The man that served me was quite nice and very friendly but the food was a let down. I ordered carbonara as all the rest of the pastas looked like they were dry and had been sitting there a while. The carbonara was quite gluggy and really didnt have much taste to it. As i had ordered it as a takeaway to eat on our hour drive home i couldnt take it back. If i had of eaten it at the store i would have definately asked for a refund.

while shopping in lavington on the weekend we happened to stumble upon this small massage place in centro shopping centre. After my daughter begged to have a massage i relented and let her go in ask how much it would cost. I was very surprised to find it was only $5 for 5 minutes which i thought was a good price. My daughter decided on having a head massage and she looked very relaxed while having it done. The staff were friendly and good at what they do. Best $5 i have spent on my daughter i think. Now she wants to go there every weekend to have another massage. The store is quite small so does get bit crowded if to many people in there at one go.

My daughter and i went here last night with friends and thought it was great. We went to their weekly smorgasbord and normally you require a booking to get in as it is very busy but we forgot, the staff were good and still gave us a table. I was a bit unsure about taking my daughter at first as she is a very fuzzy eater and normally wouldn't eat Chinese food. After realising they also have chips and fish for kids i decided to take her. Im glad i did as she actually tried some of the Chinese food and thought it was nice. Kids 12 and under cost $13.50 which i thought was a reasonable price whether the kids eat much or not. Adults cost $20 which i thought was an excellent price for the variety of different dishes there was. There was soup, king prawns, oysters, scallops, about 20 different hot dishes and desert included pavlova and apple crumble. The staff were really good and were very fast in clearing plates and glasses of the tables. The food was beautiful, especially the seafood which was really fresh. Will definately going back again

i went shopping here with my daughter 2 weeks ago looking for a formal dress for her. The store is small and a bit cramped but if you dont mind that you can find some really nice clothes. The day we were there they had a big sale on so there was a lot of cheap items. My daughter tried on 8 different dresses as there were so many nice dresses to choose from. The lady was helpful and patient with my daughter while she tried on the dresses. We ended up buying a dress that was 50% off so we really did pick a beautiful dress at a bargain price. Store was clean and tidy

I stay here over the christmas holidays and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We arrived here in the morning with no booking as we were booked in at another motel nearby but were disappointed in their accommodation. Upon explaining our situation the staff were very helpful and quickly booked us accommodation with them. I was so happy with their service and was nice to find pleasant staff. The rooms were quite roomy, clean and very comfortable. The room had tea/coffee facilities, mini fridge, tv with free foxtel and best of all free wifi. I will definitely be staying here again when staying in launceston

i stayed here while visiting family in launceston over Christmas holidays and was really disappointed with it. our room had a double bed and a single bed in it on the second floor. As there was no lifts we had to drag our suitcases up the stairs to get to room. When opening the door to our room i found it to have an awful smell to it, like a musty old smell. After leaving door open for a few hours the smell did disappear. The room itself was very old looking and quite drab.It wasn't dirty but wasn't overly clean either if that makes sense. We didnt sleep much that night as it was very loud from nearby pubs and people walking passed. For the $125 i paid i expected a lot more. We checked out the next day to find a quieter and more comfortable place to stay.

i love using cancellations as you can book everything in one place. they have car hire, airfares, hotels, travel packages and last minute cancellation bookings. Over the years i have used cancellations to book car hire, accommodation and airfares and have never had a problem. Last year i booked a last minute accommodation through them and i saved over $30 a night on accommodation which i thought was excellent. Everything is done through the internet but if you have trouble with booking anything there is a number for each section. I always recommend my friends to use cancellations when booking holidays away as it is easy, cheaper and a lot quicker than going to each thing you need through all different web sites.

I stayed here on the weekend and was very disappointed. I had booked 2 rooms with one costing $90 and the other costing $110, when we arrived we found that both rooms were exactly the same so I couldn't understand why we were paying more for one of the rooms. Apparently it was because one room we were only using the double bed where as the second room we were using both the double and the single so it cost more. I found that to be quite silly. The staff at reception were nice and friendly but later that night i found the staff in the bottle shop to be rude and not very helpful. The rooms were just average nothing amazing but were clean and for $90 you don't expect budget accommodation. We didnt have a meal here as we were going out but did look at the menu and the meals looked quite reasonable in price.
