Open universities Australia is a very well run organisation. THe help you get either by phone or through the chat facility is excellent. The course materials are excellent and it is a great way of studying as an adult. I am able to work my time table around family and work commitments.
We had a family gathering here and the food was excellent. The restaurant is well decorated and has a nice vibe. We went the banquet and we were all very satisfied. The food was the usual greek/mediterannean dishes, but all of a really high standard. My favourite was the saganaki. Staff were excellent, parking was easy. All good.
This dentist is really one of the best. He has a very direct yet calm manner and is very thorough and efficient. He has a very good way with children even my daughter who was less than keen on having any dental treatment. I have found the prices very reasonable when talking to other people about what they pay. Always runs on time too, and has fantastic, polite support staff, receptionists etc.
I often recommend him to people.
We stayed here as part of a larger group and we were all very happy. It was clean, quiet and well appointed. WE had a great time in the pool and it was close enough to get around to most things by walking which saved us a couple of nights car hire. The managers were very good at responding to our requests and I would stay here again if back in Cairns.
We hired a car from here at the last minute due to having trouble with our car on the way through sale. They were amazingly helpful and helped get us through a potentially stressful situation. The woman on the desk and the guy who was responsible for washing and fueling the cars were both very accommodating and went above and beyond what you would expect.
Excellent traditional lolly shop. They do the demonstrations of the hard rock lollies which is always interesting. The day we were there they made chiili and lime which was a bit weird, but strangely good. The kids bought some standard lollies in little jars. Would recommend dropping in if you are lucky enough to find yourself in Kuranda.
Amazing trip on beautiful train. WE caught the skylift up and the train down. The views are breathtaking and it is one of those trips which inspire you with the hard work of Australians in times gone by. There was simple but interesting commentary the whole way with relevant photos shown on screens in each carriage. It was fairly expensive(but already don't remember how much) but well worth the trip.
We stayed here for one night. It is exactly as described on it's website, nothing more, nothing less. The food was good, pizzas were delicious and of course in that weather a cold drink at the bar is always welcome! Such an amazing part of the world that it's easy to just go along with whatever is happening. LOts of backpackers and travellers around, staff were relaxed and helpful, would recommend staying here.
We had a great meal and listened to a good live band here one night. WE went as part of a large group and everyone was happy with their food.Excellent outdoor tables that allow you to soak up the fabulous Cairns weather. There are enormous screens everywhere, with predominately sport playing the night we were there. Would recommend as a great spot for a meal out
This was an amazing stay for us. The home itself was lovely, but it was the surrounding property that was amazing. There is a water hole just off the balcony which you have to yourselves. The gardens were lovely and you really felt deep in the rainforest. It was a great base to explore the daintree and we could have stayed even longer. The website describes the property quite accurately, just keep in mind that there is limited power, so no hair dryers, and even though there is a dishwasher supplied they recommend not using it.
