This review is for Red Eye Cafe, Raymond Terrace NSW

I'm not a real Cafe person, but was at Court on this particuliar day and The Red Eye Cafe was close by. Took a while to place my order (they were quite busy though), my coffee was ok - I wouldn't rave about it & I had a salad sandwich which was 'nice' and filled me up but no extra's or anything that would make me go back and eat there again. Took a while for my order to arrive but they were quite busy, like I already said. Really average experience and easily forgettable.

This hidden little shop is an Aladdin's treasure trove full of unique jewellery & gifts; a vast assortment of crystals & essential oils, incenses & fragrances; healing books; figurines; tarot cards & runes; women's fashion and delights galore!!

I often call in to buy a perfume oil which I can only find at this little choc-a-bloc-full of new age treats store and end up spending hours just browsing through all the exquisite novelties & delights that are perfectly arranged on each of the shelves - or hanging above (plenty of dream-catchers & gorgeous wind-chimes!).

You would assume that mostly everything in this shop would be quite pricey & expensive but I happy to say that you would be wrong! Most products and items are quite affordable - and you will always be able to find that perfect gift for that someone who has absolutely everything!

The lady who works there, Joanne Johnson (and I presume who owns this wonderful shop) is also qualified in Remedial Massage (Diploma) and a Reiki Master, and can be booked for private sessions.

This review is for DPH Mowers & Power Equipment, Raymond Terrace NSW

I have had to order a part for my whipper-snipper which I (accidently) threw away(!!!), the men at DPH Mowers ordered the correct part & it didn't take to long to have it in. Then I had to ask them a question about spark-plugs - they didn't laugh or ridicule me but told me what I needed to know with a cheerful smile.
They have a HUGE showroom full of all the leading brands of outdoor power equipment - lawnmowers, whipper-snippers, blowers etc... specialising in Husqvarna, STIHL, Masport, Victa, Honda just to name a few!

This review is for CarLine Mufflers, Raymond Terrace NSW

My car needed a whole new exhaust system put in and I found the mechanics at CarLine were fantastic! They informed me up front of what had to be done, how long it would take to complete the task and how much to expect to pay.....they finished right on time and not a penny more than what I was earlier quoted was I expected to pay!
I have never had another problem with my muffler/exhaust system and my car is so much quieter and runs so much better - I am extremely happy with their customer service, and all service and parts is backed with a nationwide warranty. I would reccommend CarLine, Raymoind Terrace to anyone with problems - no matter how large...or how small with their car mufflers and/or exhaust systems!

I purchased 'a' blind from a reputable local Hardware store as I had decided I wanted to try my hand at 'D.I.Y.' with installing my interior wooden blinds for my home!
I was extremely happy with how my first 'attempt' turned out....but then, whilst, surfing the internet one night I came across a company that was selling the exact same blind - to the colour - of what I had only recently purchased - AND for a fraction of the price that I had just paid! -And that price, may I add, also included delivery of these blinds, right to my front dooor!! Amazing!
I'm glad I only purchased one blind before I found out about Cheap-Blinds' much more affordable and easier on the budget prices (lesson learned that I really should not jump into things without shopping around first!)...- and the blinds ARE EXACTLY the same - and I'm racking them up on my windows on the weekends like a pro!
Cheapa-Blinds' website offers step-by-step instructions on how to measure & install; a glossary of terms; FAQ's & DIY tips and hints; they also offer samples if you are not sure of which product may suit your interior - it's all so easy.
And I am very proud that i am doing it myself - really does give me a feeling of self-accomplishment and achievment

This review is for The Kingston Motel, Heatherbrae NSW

verified email - 21 Mar 2013

The motel itself is old, shabby, neglected and run-down. Just the necessities are supplied....television, hot-water jug for tea/coffee, bar-fridge (no mini-bar!), towels, sheets...Nothing to be high-lighted, nothing flash or fancy thats for sure! *
Although the young couple managing this business, at the time, were an absolute delight & pleasure to have made their acquaintance.
A clean, fully-fitted, community kitchen, which all motel visitors are able to utilise, is the only added perk and expense saver.
We ended up with an extra in our room - a field mouse (which we named 'Kingston') who scurried underneath our unit door and refused to leave no matter how persistently we all tried. He made our stay a little more stress-free, if not to say humouress and comical!

A vast variety of pet food and supplies.
An absolutely massive display of fish to purchase - both cold-water & tropical at extremely affordable and competitive prices.
Each different species of fish has an information template at the bottom of their tank out-lining origin; temperment & socialisation; approximate of how long/large fish should grow to and estimated life expectancy. I found these details priceless when I'm considering adding a new species of fish to my otherwise fully established tropical fish aquarium, saves me time - and questions!
Extremely cheap fish to purchase and a HUGE assortment of aquarium and fish-tank ornaments.
They also have a huge assortment of dog, cat, bird, horse and rodent foods and supplies and equipment for all your pet needs!

Quite expensive prices for the size of units available for self-storage.
Quick to charge over-due fees & use their 'over-lock' on your storage shed until account is in advancement.
The 'Free-Move-In-Service*' is actually a trailer you may utilise BUT only if available and not being used at the time AND ONLY IF you have a four-wheel-drive with a tow-bar to attach it to. Not having a four-wheel drive I was unable to take advantage of this little 'extra' feature with which this small business offered.

*[In all fairness this "perk" does state, "CONDITIONS APPLY"]

Approximate cost: $Varies depending on size of unit required to rent.

This review is for Raymond Terrace Vet Clinic, Raymond Terrace NSW

verified email - 08 Mar 2013

The Staff at Raymond Terrace Veterinary Clinic are without a doubt the most kindest, caring, dedicated, remarkable, compassionate group of people that I have ever had the honour of meeting and knowing.
Our Family pet (he is a miniature dachshund) was bruutally mauled by another (large & vicious) dog (a staffie x ridgeback who had entered my fenced off back-yard) - and when I burst in through their doorway entrance of their business, covered in blood, crying & desperate, the staff at Raymond Terrace Vet Clinic immediately worked around the clock to x-ray, heal, care, nurse and stabilize our littlest family member until he was (unbelievably) out of dangers way!
I cannot express my sincere gratitude and I am in awe of their selfless expertise they demonstrated to help save our little friend when, I ashamedly thought, things looked very grim & bleak!
Amazing people with hearts so huge and so kind!

This review is for Motto Farm Motel, Heatherbrae NSW

verified email - 08 Mar 2013

My four children and I stayed in a 'Family Room' at Motto Farm Motel, which was more like a unit and was extremely spacious - the 'room/unit' was divided into two with the back room offering two bunks (yes, the kids argued over the top bunks!) and their own television (joy!); my room offered a queen size bed, my own television and a long bench where I set up my computer. The (massive) bathroom was situated between the two rooms, and before the bathroom was a breakfast table, bar fridge and necessities like kettle & toaster, complimentary biscuits, tea & coffee!

Extremely clean and tidy and loved that the Family Rooms are away from the other smaller rooms available (being a family of five we can be quite noisy - especially in the mornings!).

We ate in the dining room and the meals were hearty whilst the prices of the meals were very competitive - we were well looked after by the extremely courteous staff!

Motto Farm Motel has late trading hours:~ Midweek until Midnight & Weekends until 11pm. Early morning starts are at 6.00am - and that is for the early-bird breakfast menu also - or a continental breakfast is on offer if you prefer!

A glorious inground swimming pool; tennis court; fully equipped laundry facilities and close to Raymond Terrace makes Motto Farm Motel are convenient and affordable place to stay whilst travelling or visiting the Port Stephens area. Highly recommended to all!
