Very expensive!!!! As a long term local resident I try to support the long term delis ect as a first priority. When I can't get what I need though I go here. I tend to have about a 50% success rate when I go looking for specific ingredients and when I do find them they are incredibly expensive. That said, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Service and value on par with Hoyts etc, but the range and quality of films on offer vastly superior. Also a great bookshop on premises. Oh, and you are able to take a glass of wine in with you to watch the movie.
Approximate cost: $15.00
The epitome of traditional Italian bakeries. Old Italian ladies who are more comfortable speaking Italian than English. Cheap and very reliable.
Their bangalow pork is the best. Every time I cook it when I have guests the consensus is always positive.
This place has the best range of palms and tropical plants that you will find anywhere. The staff will bend over backwards to give you advice about the right plants for your garden and even offer a garden design service, perfect for new and recently renovated homes. And... they deliver.
This has been a recent find for me and I can't believe it took me so long to hear about it. When I walked in on the first night and saw Matt Moran eating dinner with his family I knew I had made the right choice. The food was fantastic. the staff are very casual and friendly (and very knowledgeable). Can't recommend it highly enough.
If you are looking for quality meat and great service then this is the place to go. Yes it's a bit pricey, but the quality of the meat is unbeatable and the staff are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about their product.
Chocolates are fantastic. The queues at Easter, Mother's Day etc can be crippling though, not to mention the impact on you hip pocket (quality doesn't come cheap).
This place offers a great range of facilities for a range of sports. My kids do SoccaJoeys and gymnastics there on a weekly basis. Centrally located and easy parking.
Caramel slice and sticky date pudding like my Nanna used to make... and all at prices less than it would cost you to buy the raw ingredients. The father and son who run the place are so down to earth and friendly. A hidden gem.
