On a recent service call for a gas log fire Metropolitan Plumbing quoted us $3,000 to replace a part that we later discovered wasn’t even faulty. Thankfully we didn’t fall for it and had a very good experience with an alternative service technician who saved us $2,8000 (the party wasn’t faulty, just had some dust on the ignition). Still out of pocket for the $141 call out charge which they refused to refund, saying we had been informed of the T&Cs at the time of the booking. Yep, but we weren’t informed you’re scam artists!
