And roughly how long each one takes.

Halliday is one bloke, one van and a very long list of small jobs done properly. Dave spent twenty years on building sites before working out that what people actually needed was someone reliable for the small stuff.
Bring the list. Hooks, hinges, cracks, the tap that drips, the gate that will not latch. It gets done in one visit, on one invoice, and the mess leaves in the van.
Most fridge lists are two to four hours. Text it through with a photo or two and Dave will tell you before he books how long it is likely to take.
Building sites before the van. The shelf is level, the door actually closes and the hole in the wall is gone rather than hidden.
A door that will not lock, a tap that will not stop, a step that has given way. Ring before nine and it is usually done by lunch.

Photos help. Dave reads every message himself and replies with a rough time and a day, usually within the hour.
No call-out fee, nothing beyond the first hour if the job is quick, and the quote is the invoice.

Owner and the one who turns up
I spent two decades on building sites before I worked out that what people actually needed was someone reliable for the small stuff. Now the van has my name on it and the phone has my number. If you ring, it is me who answers and me who shows up.
Simple as that. If a shelf sags or a door sticks again inside twelve months, ring me and I will sort it.
Text or email. Photos help.
Most lists are two to four hours. I tell you before I book.
I bring the tools and the common fixings and work through it.
By the quarter hour after the first. Rubbish gone with me.
A list of about 15 small jobs I'd been putting off for three years. Dave got through all of them in an afternoon, took the old shelves to the tip and charged exactly what he said on the phone. Booked him again for the back gate.
Turned up at 8 when he said 8. Fixed the sliding door that hasn't closed properly since we moved in and re-hung two doors. Tidy, polite, fair price. Hard to find these days.
Fixed our side gate, then came back when the latch stuck again in the wet and wouldn't take anything for the second visit. Also patched a hole in the plaster and you genuinely can't tell where it was.
And roughly how long each one takes.
