The clinic

Central Geelong since 2009

Backs, knees, shoulders. The same problems most clinics see, and the ones we are good at. Kerrison has been in central Geelong since 2009 with four physios, an exercise physiologist and a clinical Pilates studio upstairs. The aim never changes: getting you back to what you were doing before.

How we work
The same physio every visit

Continuity is half of getting better. You will not repeat your history to a stranger each time.

A plan you can actually follow

Three exercises done properly beat fifteen done never. We build the plan around your week.

Registered for WorkCover, TAC and NDIS

We handle the paperwork and the approvals so you can concentrate on the exercises.

Our promise

If you are not improving after three sessions, we say so.

And we refer you on — a specialist, a scan, your GP. We do not keep booking you in when it is not working. You are here to get better, not to keep coming back.

How it works

From first call to finished

  1. Book online

Usually within two days. WorkCover and TAC handled.

  2. Assessment

Forty-five minutes. We find the cause, not just the sore bit.

  3. A plan you can follow

Three exercises done properly, not fifteen done never.

  4. Review

We measure progress and adjust. Same physio every time.

Questions

Before your first appointment

Do I need a referral?

Not for private appointments. WorkCover and TAC need a GP referral, which we can help you arrange.

What should I wear?

Something you can move in. Shorts for knees and hips, a singlet for shoulders. We have spare shorts if you forget.

How many sessions will I need?

We tell you after the first one, honestly. Most acute injuries are three to six; we will not book more than we think you need.

Do you do dry needling?

Yes, where it helps, and never as the whole treatment.

Can you help with a chronic problem I have had for years?

Often, yes. Chronic pain responds to a different approach than an acute injury, and we will be straight about what is realistic.

Is clinical Pilates covered by my health fund?

Under most extras policies, yes, when it is run by a physio — which ours is. We can check your fund before you book.
