I had a broken window at an investment property. I rang 3 glazing companies for a quotation and information about glass specifications as I know nothing about glass and want to make sure my rental properties have the correct glass installed to avoid possible future litigation in case of breakage. The first company ( big and Australia wide ) would not provide any information or costing's before I supplied my full information and address, I thought this as inappropriate for just a quote. The next 2 companies could not answer my questions about Australian Standards and required glass thickness. I rang Smithfield Glass and spoke to Andrew, he not only provided me with the thickness of the glass that should be installed, but also explained the Australian Standards to me in full. His expertise and willingness to help me on the phone was enough for me to order the replacement through Smithfield Glass. They were on time, fast and efficient, cleaned up all the glass and price was more than acceptable.

I have had a broken bathroom window replaced, emergency pane is in, and the safety glass is ready and coming on friday.
These guys are the best..they told me everything I needed to know, their quote was middle of the range. (I had wildly varying quotes from local glaziers - most of whom could not string together a coherent sentence, let alone tell me what I needed to know. One person just grunted when they answered the phone, and another one could not speak English and just kept saying yes, and gave me a stupidly low price.)
Andrew from Smithfield glass is amazing, he took on the job, even though it's way outside their service area. He is polite, friendly, informative, and fast. The clean up was really great, as well.
So happy I went with them, and will be calling them in any future need, and we recommend them highly to everybody.
