This review is for Countrylink, Sydney NSW

I have used this service twice, once to Brisbane and also to Griffiths. What a pity I cannot describe it as a great train journey. Unfortunately the trains are showing their age and what should be a super fast service is very slow. They do provide food on board and afternoon tea at reasonable prices. Some of the staff really do try to do a good job. On both journeys it was necessary to leave the train and complete the journey by coach. The driver on the coach to Brisbane was one of the rudest I have ever met - not what you want to encountered after a tiring day spent on a train.
Countrylink suffers from lack of funds which results in the train (and the track) being out of date. The booking service is easy.

This review is for El Paso Motor Inn, Port Macquarie NSW

The room I was given with my colleague was on the top floor which meant with no lift climbing up and down the stairs especially with luggage was tedious. The room was clean but the bathroom small.
the decor is dated but no more than many other motels. The bed was comfortable to I slept well. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful but the manager's attitude could be misconstrued. We were two of only 4 people having breakfast and it was okay but not great. The orange juice had a bitter taste and the staff member opened another bottle. Disappointing it was not fresh juice. I didn't get a very positive vibe from this motel and I doubt I would stay there again.

This review is for Kiama Leaugues Club, Kiama NSW

This club is not too big and wasn't crowded on the night I went with my son-in-law. We had a good well priced meal and enjoyed the karaoke. It has typical leagues club decor but is clean and well run. I will go again when I am next in Kiama.

This review is for Monty's Takeaway, Dora Creek NSW

verified email - 07 May 2012

The fish and chips from this takeaway are some of the best I have tasted. Everything is cooked to order so fresh and hot.
Portions are a good size, in fact for those with moderate appetites maybe too generous. The staff seem to be flat out which may account for a lack of friendliness but they are polite. The shop itself is not very inspiring but no worse than many other similar businesses. Great for when you just can't be bothered to cook after a busy day

This review is for Fisherman's Wharf Fish & Chips, Woy Woy NSW

What makes this place worth a visit is the location. It is very popular, I have to say I found the wait for my order almost had me cancelling it but I chilled out and enjoyed watching the pelicans. The fish and chips are tasty and the portion size good, not sure what the other items on offer taste like.
This is a good spot for families as there is a children's play area and they love the pelican feeding. The dine in restaurant overlooks the water. Great scope for improvement here,

This motel is in such a convenient location, I really enjoyed waking to the gentle sound of the surf - a great way to start the day. The motel is dated but good value for the price and location. Clean and comfortable I would definitely stay there again.

This review is for Sunbeam Factory Outlet, Alexandria NSW

verified email - 05 May 2012

I have visited this outlet a few times when in Sydney. I usually find the product I am looking for and the cost is always well below store retail. Some discontinued lines are sold very cheaply. If you like Sunbeam products this is the place to go, The staff are friendly and helpful and you can phone to check if a certain ite is available. I don't know about anyone else but I always like a bargain and Sunbeam is a name that can be trusted.

This review is for Mega Fresh Barn, Cooranbong NSW

The one product that draws me to this store is their ham off the bone cut to order. It is much better tasting ham than is found in the supermarkets of nearby Morisset. Ham apart this is a friendly store and has some good specials on their fruit and vegetables. The supermarket side stocks generic brands but is more expensive as you would expect from a small village store but they offer free home delivery which is a boon for many people.

This review is for Sanitarium Factory Store, Cooranbong NSW

The factory store is open Mon - Thursday every week. I like their seconds on cereals as well as the 1st grade products. This is a great place for the vegetarian and the non- vegetarian to visit. Somewhat hidden away so missed by many people but worth a look as the specials vary daily.

This review is for Bodywise Smash Repairs, Cooranbong NSW

Most people hope to avoid a visit to the smash repairers but accidents do happen and it is reassuring to know an excellent local business. Run by a husband and wife team Jason & Kylie, a friendly professional service is offered and repairs are completed as soon as possible.
