They did a removal of my household - or, rather, they completely failed to do one. They made a complete mess of my old house when they picked the stuff up. They were unable to get one of their two vehicles up a muddy drive at the new place but kept inneffectually trying until the driver reversed into a ditch and got stuck. The other, smaller, vehicle was fine and had been to the house and then down the drive again and then up to the house again (without unloading as I told them they should) before driving off-road in a reckless manoeuvre and getting that vehicle stuck too. They could have used the smaller vehicle to take the contents of the larger one on to the house - but they said it would be too much work and that it might mean that they would get home late! So they waited for a tow truck to pull them out the mud and took all my furniture away to their depot. My wife and I stayed in a motel for the next six days until they could bring our furniture back and put it in a storage depot 20 km from the new house. We then hired a van and took the furniture to the house ourselves (we're retirees, by the way) over the course of another week. We also found that almost every peice of furniture we own was scratched, dented, broken, or had bits missing. We have had no apology from Palmer, no admission of their incompetence, only demands for more money.
