The store itself is well set-out but as far as an express lane, this is very poor.
There are never enough staff on the check-outs and often only one or two on the express lane.

Friendly, helpful professional staff- genuinely concerned about the needs of the customer.
A happy environment that shows when you talk to the staff, all obviously happy in their work.

The venue has a great atmosphere and the music playing was perfect for the setting.
The breakfast was fantastic. All the food was delicious! Eggs perfect!
The service was very good - staff checking we were kept warm next to the open wood fire.
It was also very good value for money.
The only improvement could be the coffee.

The staff are always welcoming, friendly and go out of their way to help you, even if you are just buying a stamp. They don't hesitate to offer advice on postal options and have an excellent range of products.

The music was too loud and intrusive for the setting.
The meal was very disappointing. The steak was a disgrace - eye fillet, 3/4 of it was inedible- tough and difficult to cut.
When the staff were made aware they seemed very non-fussed and did not offer to consider this in the final bill.
We did not want to make the situation worse and chose to leave after paying the bill.

This is a newly refurbished chemist in the heart of the city.
When I recently visited it I found the service and advice from a member of staff to be excellent. They went out of the their way to try and offer some suggestions.

This is definitely the best bookshop in Tasmania.
It has a wonderful feel about it as soon as you walk in.
You could easily spend a day choosing a book and I often loose track of the time when I'm there.
There is also a great cafe upstairs - the food is delicious and the coffee is first rate.
There are also usually author events on every couple of weeks which are very popular.
The staff are also extremely helpful.

Each time I shop here I am always guaranteed of excellent service.

They also have an excellent range of health products.
Sometimes I leave feeling better than when I came in and I only bought a dozen free-range eggs.

The service from the check-out staff is usually excellent, but come Friday night in particular they do not have enough staff rostered on to handle the volume of shoppers and the line for the so-called express lane often stretches to 20 or more people.
Often, products are either sold out (i.e. Helgas Bread) or not in stock and some items that use to be available are now no longer - replaced with Woolworths' own 'Select' brand.
Very disappointing...
