Such a shame. I would have given this restaurant 4 stars at least. Their food is, on a whole, excellent. I was able to order a "blue" steak and it was actually served "blue"! Surroundings are comfortable, warm and inviting. Staff are friendly and fast with service. Pricing is as you would expect (reasonable). Great selection on the menu. Tasty food. Quality drinks. I wish I could rate it higher... BUT, when I get served a chicken entree that is frozen in the middle and undercooked (still pink) on the outside, all bets are off. If you are going to visit this restaurant, check that the food is cooked first. If it is, you will have a fantastic experience. Me, I'm still getting over the sickness caused by uncooked food. Tempt if you dare.

The food was exceptional, cooked to perfection, brought to the table in the timing requested and the waiting staff were the most amiable and polite I have ever encountered.

We have taken friends and family to this restaurant and everyone of them were impressed.
We sent our son and daughter there for the anniversary. They had a great meal and a lovely night.

This is our favorite special occasion restaurant. Love the atmosphere of the old courthouse, but its the food that brings us back. Food is just divine! Have a good loyalty program that makes amazing dining affordable.

One of our favourite restaurants, set in Berwicks original courthouse. The food is top notch, although I wish the menu would change more frequently, as it can get a little boring for a regular.
I highly recommend for a special night out. Prices are up there for the Berwick area but you will definately enjoy the food.

Approximate cost: $30.00

Am a regular Courthouse diner and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly, the decor beautiful and even more so since the recent revamp done in the course of The Chopping Block tv show participation. Glad Matt Moran felt the food was excellent enough not to meddle with! The Duck Marriage is my favourite, salmon comes next for pure fresh tasting, and the asian salad dressing is a well kept secret that I have yet to extract from chef owner Tim!

My husband and I dine out a lot and the food at Courthouse is easily the worst we have ever had - no exaggeration. My husband's fish curry had very little fish and he was sure the veges were from a frozen packet - he couldn't eat it. My Chicken Maryland was so overdone and presented so badly I could have got a cooked chicken and some salads from the local charcoal chook place and done better!

The first time I went to the Courthouse was with a large group of friends and I loved it, loved the food, told everyone about it and that I couldn't wait to go back. Then went with my husband for our wedding anniversary in May and was so disappointed ... the meal I chose was not available because they had run out of it, so I ordered risotto which was dreadful - I cook risotto better ! My husband's meal was lovely. The desserts on offer were limited because they had run out of a couple of them - mind you there was only us and another 2 tables having dinner that night. When I got the dessert it was not fantastic either. But the best part came when my husband handed the waitress $200 to pay our bill which was $170, she looked at him and said "Do you want your change ?" Don't get me wrong - we always tip but have never actually been asked for it !

Approximate cost: $170

My partner and I went here for our second anniversary. Upon our arrival, we had a card wishing us a happy anniversary on our table. We were asked if we would like some different music played, in case we didn't like what they already had on. The food...yum!!!
