The Blacktown 15-bedroom Unit Boarding House (built by 5 Star Builders aka 5 Star Granny Flats) adversely sticks out towards neighbouring properties. Formerly, the site of a 3-bedroom house, the 15-bedroom design is inappropriate & unprofessional.

Bad development: Building 15-bedroom over-developed Boarding house in Blacktown, on site of a current 3-bedroom house- They also took Blacktown community to Court about it! 5 Star Granny Flats/ also going by 5 Star Builders (Head office, 72 Newton Rd Blacktown), is planning to build a 15-bedroom over-developed boarding house- at 72 Newton Rd, Blacktown- oddly located next door to a Catholic Primary School and multicultural aged WW2 pensioners, plus young families with children. Most neighbours have only 3 bedrooms, whereas 15-bedrooms, with potentially 30+ people living there, is a severe over-development of the site. The current property has 3 bedrooms, so it is poor planning and design and out of character to the local area to build such an over-developed boarding house. Thereby, it was twice refused by Blacktown Council, opposed by the Catholic Diocese and nearly 200 residential petitionary signatory objections. 5 Star Builders, therefore, is building against the greater interest of the residential community. They also took the Blacktown community to Court about it! How bad is that!!
